Hypocritical Over-Stewarding

I know its good to stands lads. The reason we dont go to away games now is cos I have 2 lads who come with me and when every1 stands one of them can not see even if he is stood on the chair. When you ask someone if they can sit down you get the normal f word. I know a lot want to stand but they should sort it so say a corner of it is sitting only or couple of rows at the front. Thats my moan anyway up the CITY

Get onto Standupsitdown. Sign it, this is the campaign so you can sit down, whilst the people who want to stand can stand in a different area, in both the home & away areas.

Always worth a plug! :D

It's just a shame that this libertarian attitude doesn't extend to flasks and sandwiches in Tupperware boxes.

Where there's only room in a bag for either a trainspotter's notebook or a flask and tupperware box, there's only one winner I'm afraid.

I like standing up(Obviuosly i dont stand,as standing is prohibited!)

But as i get older,i would like to sit down now and again,as i have pains in the knees.

Would there be an area where you would be able to do BOTH stand and sit???

Why, yes I can.

My advice is to ensure you put a saddle on the post before going out on your bicycle again.

If you need any short-term relief for the aches....

...take a fecking paracetomol :D

LEICESTER CITY'S STEWARDS PROVE TO BE ON THE BALL

10:30 - 21 September 2007

Leicester City's stewards have been studying - not the game, but the NVQ level two in spectator safety.

The match day stewards have been trained thanks to collaboration between the club and Leicester College. And there has been a resounding result, with 98 per cent of stewards completing their NVQ in one year.

The course has included training sessions on all the aspects of the stewards' jobs and the production of a bespoke training book.

College principal Maggie Galliers said: "Leicester College is committed to working with employers to help them obtain the skills they need to succeed.

"The college has been working in close partnership with Leicester City, and the amazing success rate achieved in the first year of this course demonstrates the real benefits of this approach."

Kevin Barclay, City's health and safety manager, said: "Leicester City is devoted to the ongoing health, safety and welfare of its supporters and visitors to the Walkers Stadium.

"In order to achieve this aim, the club has trained safety stewards over the last eight years to the FSQ (Football Stewarding Qualification) standard, a nationally recognised certificate provided by the football governing bodies.

"However, the FSQ has been superseded by a National Vocational Qualification level two in spectator safety.

"The course is recognised by City and Guilds of London and all members of the match day safety team will eventually take part in the qualification."
