OriginalRobboFOX Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 Dont know what evryone elses impression of the stewarding was last night but I thought it was poor.... We were all standing causing absolutely no trouble and upon about 10 minutes they wade in and ask everyone to sit down (we didn't, most people just ignored them) when there are about 2000 Forest fans to our left all standing not being told to sit... For me, their intervention led to more people being ejected from the ground and ultimately more trouble. Left alone City fans would have been fine.
Jimmy Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 does anyone know what the young lad in X1 did to get thrown out? he had a right scrap with the cops took about 6 of them to drag him out
Fez of Mahrez Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 does anyone know what the young lad in X1 did to get thrown out? he had a right scrap with the cops took about 6 of them to drag him out That was right behind me. They were being wankers. I had a bit of aggro off that stupid middle-aged woman with the dyed hair but I just ignored her. Stood for 90 minutes six rows from the front just to the right of the goal. Result!
Bernie's Love Child Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 I was in the Upper Tier, about three rows from the back. We all stood up throughout the first half, but about 10 minutes into the second half, the stewards and then the police, waded in to get us to sit down. Then they ****ed off, so we all stood up again!!
Trumpet Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 I liked how everyone stood this time, regardless of stewarding.
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 19 September 2007 Author Posted 19 September 2007 I liked how everyone stood this time, regardless of stewarding. Yeah, it was like 'sticking it to the man'...... Stewards (I'm sure there are some ok ones) really get on my tits.
Vardinhio Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 now here is the problem..... I'm all up for standing, its better in so many ways but... last night we had 2 small kids behind us. Now me and my brother are both around 6ft 2 and so obviously if we were to stand they would not see a thing regardless. Unfortunately the guys in front of us were standing therefore obstructing our view.. here lies the problem, so its not always as simple or fair for everyone to just stand. I don't want to be responsible for obstructing some kids from watching city, imagine if that was you when you were younger.
purpleronnie Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 The FLA seem to be cracking down this season on fans who stand, despite the fact its not technically illegal to stand. If everyone stood together (literally) then they can do very little. Amazes me that standing is such a big issue - its not like that in any other country. Just look at germany they brought back huge terraces and have had no problems, over here we can't even stand in front of our seats without some steward trying to get you to sit. But its the FLA's fault not the stewards I'm sure most clubs couldn't care less but have their hand forced by the FLA idiots.
Leonisco Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 Well done everyone in V1 last night, everyone stood up and sang their hearts out all game! Didn't get any trouble from the stewards either, which was nice.
tbf Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 i was in U2 but moved to a more central position 3-5 rows from the back, stood through out the whole game. There were a couple of kids in front of me but they stood on their chairs. If people wanted to sit they could move away from directly behoind the goal to nearer the corner. stewards did appear to only target the leicester fans, but only succeeded on getting a few down on the flanks.

You should have stuck with them mate, they're quite big now.

Thats what I along with 1000's more used to have to do in the Kop at Filbo when I was a kid....
Guest Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 does anyone know what the young lad in X1 did to get thrown out? he had a right scrap with the cops took about 6 of them to drag him out They're only supposed to use reasonable force, but the fat blonde steward definitely swung a punch first, and one of the coppers was having a go too. I almost went over there to give the arsewipes a piece of my mind. They were a disgrace. If the lads wanted bring charges of their own against the Police and the stewards over the way they were manhandled, I would certainly offer to stand as a witness for them.

Lovejoy Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 I liked how everyone stood this time, regardless of stewarding. Was awesome. We should do this at every away game (if not at home as well)

Guest Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 am i right in thinking his girlfriend dragged him back on several occasions? Someone was trying to drag him back. But I was too short to see who.
Simi Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 I was in v1Stood all game it was brilliant. V1 was a good laugh, as I expected it to be. We didn't really have a steward come near us all night I don't think which was a bonus to a great night. The carnage after the third goal was fantastic!
Floating Fox Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 Anyone see what happened in lower tier to right of goal? Everyone chanting Scum?
