Floating Fox Posted 28 September 2007 Posted 28 September 2007 Please not at home. Anything away & im happy. Not the Emirates, I'm not going there. Everton would be lurvely. Ta.
Thracian Posted 28 September 2007 Posted 28 September 2007 In some ways another away match would be ideal. Megson won't really have to do anything other than what seems natural to him. The opposition can wear themselves out on City's entrenched 8-man defence and just hope that the opposition become frustrated enough to lose concentation and get rash. Villa's forwards would have found more space between the eyes of a nanotechnology insect than they found among City's defenders as they closed on goal and if City can repeat that I really see no reason we shouldn't get to Wembley and advertise our new way forward to the nation. We'll become the heroes of every no-hope football club in the country. Defenders will be chased like gold strikes and the PFA will threaten industrial action because seven eighths of the nation's non-Premiership forwards will be cast out onto the dole as every team signs up yet more footballing shock absorbers. Books will be written and lectures given on the boon in "8-til-late" football teams who by adapting the eight-man "Megson-Mode" defence will all be able to preserve 0-0 against the elite long into the night, including extra-time. Indeed should City win the Cup "8-til-late Leicester" will be written into football folklore. Even haircuts will be named after the Leicester boss and asking for a Megson will mean: "Straight Back, Sides and Middle Bits" with just an isolated tuft on the front.

Joe. Posted 28 September 2007 Posted 28 September 2007 I didn't realise it was the last 16. We've got a great chance of landing a Prem team, there's only 6/16 non- Premiership teams left in it.
potter3 Posted 28 September 2007 Posted 28 September 2007 Weak team at home or Prem team away hopefully

syston_fox Posted 28 September 2007 Posted 28 September 2007 Liverpool away would be ideal..... Im expecting Cardiff at home though
Brainy Posted 29 September 2007 Posted 29 September 2007 If we want a Prem team away with a chance of winning, West Ham perhaps, but as potter said, a weak team at home or a Prem team away.
Zingari Posted 29 September 2007 Posted 29 September 2007 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/l...cup/7017625.stm not long now luton at home will do me
WetFlannel Posted 29 September 2007 Posted 29 September 2007 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/l...cup/7017625.stmnot long now luton at home will do me ditto, i want to progress a little further so that seems the best option...
WetFlannel Posted 29 September 2007 Posted 29 September 2007 i dont want coventry, i want them to draw blackpool and get beat 5 - 0 and prove to everyone it was a fluke over man utd
Leonisco Posted 29 September 2007 Posted 29 September 2007 Now that we're getting to the later stages of the cup I'd rather see us progress as far as we possibly can, but I'm wary of mindlessly shouting for Luton at home cos you just know we'll lose if that's who we get.
Mickey O'Neil Posted 29 September 2007 Posted 29 September 2007 Is there such a thing as a weak team.? Surely we should have learnt this by now, being on the end of a few embarrassing results over the years. And to think we were laughing at the Villa fans for looking over us and talking about the next round like we didn't even exist!!! Luton did a very good job on Charlton- they raised their game. Charlton obviously thought it would be a stroll. I would like a big team away, (we can raise our game) and all the moaning fickle f uckers at the home games can f uck off and miss it. If it's Chelsea, Liverpool or Arsenal, then lets face facts, the media (& their fans) are not going to be expecting us to win & being the underdog suits me fine. I fancy Chelsea out of all of that lot at the minute with their dressing room unrest, followed by Rafa's baffling team rotation selections. Bring on the big boys I say.
Ajax Treesdown Posted 29 September 2007 Posted 29 September 2007 i dont want coventry, i want them to draw blackpool and get beat 5 - 0 and prove to everyone it was a fluke over man utd They'll get brought back down to earth today. A spanking by Charlton I reckon!!!
