Kent Fox Posted 5 October 2007 Posted 5 October 2007 Does anyone else think that Mr.T look gay in Milky's sig?? And £1450 is a bit too much mate - you should be looking at £1200 TOPS. It's the mileage, mate. Fords aren't VW - they start to cost a lot of dosh after 100k. If you want that much, take it for trade-in.

Kent Fox Posted 5 October 2007 Posted 5 October 2007 He'll be lucky to get a grand for that, private sale. In fairness, we don't know what engine size, nor whether 3 or 5 doors. It might have extras he's not put in which would explain his evaluation. I worked on the 1.25 5 dr. But I don't want it anyway - I was just bored. Conkers, anyone??
The Reverend Posted 5 October 2007 Posted 5 October 2007 Some of us get in free every week Your not tellin me people actually PAY to watch Leicester are you?!
Maybes Posted 5 October 2007 Posted 5 October 2007 He'll be lucky to get a grand for that, private sale.£1200 seems about right. Parkers is usually quite good for used prices. In fairness, we don't know what engine size, nor whether 3 or 5 doors. It might have extras he's not put in which would explain his evaluation. Tommy G Posted 5 October 2007 Author Posted 5 October 2007 Well i was asking for that price but would realistically accept 1,300. Its got a 2 month old CD player in it, and a decent set of fitted speakers which I wil chuck in with the deal. The CD player cost me 100 quid alone. Also new brake pads so you wont need to replace them anytime soon unless your Lewis Hamilton on the brakes. 1.25 zetec, got decent unmarked alloys. Long M.O.T. No problems with starting high and then lowering it. I'll let you know how much I sell it for, and hopefully give the V's to people who doubted I could sell it for a decent price

Six hours later and you've knocked off £150 Wait until after the weekend boys and he'll be giving it away!
Foxed Posted 7 October 2007 Posted 7 October 2007 To be fair to the bloke-I've just had a look on Autotrader and his price isn't that far off. Selling a car at the moment is an absolute pain in the ar$e. My mum's had hers in the Mercury and Autotrader for months and not much interest. People come and look at it and then say "too many miles". 1) THE ADVERT TELLS YOU HOW MANY MILES!!!! 2) It's a diesel-they always have lots of miles, that's why people buy diesels. You're more likely to have a problem with a low mileage diesel cos it's only done short journeys so it's all coated up. Well that's my two pennies worth

Well that's my two pennies worth Simple economics really, if you ask too much for something you want to sell, it won't sell! The same has happened to houses-some smart arsed estate agent has told you your house is worth £180k but that doesn't mean it's going to sell for that yet people hold on for the magical evaluation figure and wonder why it's not selling!
Asha Posted 7 October 2007 Posted 7 October 2007 Should get it valued. Not sure how you came up with that price but definately needs lowering.
