Master Fox Posted 15 October 2007 Posted 15 October 2007 quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Recent suggestions that the high-flying Nintendo Wii's days at the top of the console sales charts may be numbered are beginning to look less ridiculous every day, as more people in the know come round to that point of view. The latest naysayer to pitch in is heavyweight business newspaper The Nikkei in an analysis piece headlined 'Software Houses Miscalculate Audience, Demand For Wii'. In the subscription-only article, author Tomoyuki Kawai reflects on a range of concerned voices within the videogames industry. ... The report goes on to discuss the likelihood that many Wiis are gathering dust in owners' cupboards, citing one software house president as saying, "People bought it out of curiosity, and it's likely a lot of them haven't used it." link
Manwell Pablo Posted 15 October 2007 Posted 15 October 2007 http://thefunbucket.com/2007/09/24/xbox-360-vs-wii/ Bet there are thousands thinking like that. I bet Phube is as well he's just too much of Nintendo pureist to admit it.
Phube Posted 15 October 2007 Posted 15 October 2007 Nope use mine every day!! And soon Metroid is out, then Mario Galaxy. The problem is some developers are to stuck in their ways!! They kept saying it about the DS too... see how that failed!!! EDIT: You do realise the 'sales slump' they talk about is the Wii selling more than the PS3 and 360 together... in Japan!! Just less than the previos few weeks.. but then Sept/Oct is notoriously slow in Japan any way!
Trumpet Posted 15 October 2007 Posted 15 October 2007 It's true, my mate has one, including an xbox 360 and he barely touches the wii. The novelty of it wore off very fast.
Alexikokopops Posted 15 October 2007 Posted 15 October 2007 I love Nintendo as much as the next man (unless that next man is Phube) and I have to admit when my housemate got one it was fun at first but I quickly resorted back to the PS2 and Gamecube (none of this new consoles business for me)
