"We're shit, and we know we are!" And my personal favourite, "You're not fit to wear the shirt!" - closely followed by "Sing your hearts out for the lads!"

He was well pissed off with the fans and said it was the worst game he's ever had to play in. The interviewer tried to get him to slag Toshack off and he was having none of it.

Finnegan Posted 19 October 2007 Posted 19 October 2007 Wales miss Sparky imo. In some ways, yes. In others, no. Let's not forget that it was all starting to fall off the rails under Sparky, too. After we lost to Russia in the play-offs a little bit of Sparky and his side died and we dropped into woeful form. But certainly, he, like Toshack, did a hell of a lot off the pitch that was vital for Welsh football - and if Toshack or someone else leads us to 2010 or even 2012 then both he and Sparky will deserve a fair amount of praise.
