lookwhaticando Posted 18 October 2007 Posted 18 October 2007 What's the betting that some time tomorrow we'll get him/his agent/his club saying he was misquoted or some bollocks like that. A bit like Reyes of Spain whose loose mouth made it certain that his desire to return to Spain was the worst kept secret in Premier League football for the best part of a year.

Yeah I was gong to say that. It's not the first time it's happened as you mention. Sometimes you think they don't realise these things will get back to England all the way from France. If Drogba is to leave in January though, Chelsea will be up shit creek big time. No doubt Roman might help out a little though.
Koke Posted 18 October 2007 Posted 18 October 2007 Drogba is a bit of an arrogant **** really. A very good footballer but a class A
Brainy Posted 18 October 2007 Posted 18 October 2007 He wanted out since day 1 yet he signed a 4 year contract last summer.
David Villa Posted 18 October 2007 Posted 18 October 2007 Got to be the funniest player in the prem though, If it is true and he really does want to leave hopefully he will refuse to play so he cant play ant part against us.
Simi Posted 18 October 2007 Posted 18 October 2007 He wanted out since day 1 yet he signed a 4 year contract last summer. Unbelievable really, but if nobody came in for him, I suppose he wasn't going to complain about a wage increase. Plus it means whoever his next club is really does have to break the bank to bag him. I'll give it a week before the "Chelsea in shock swap deal for Ronaldinho" appears in the tabloids.
Thracian Posted 18 October 2007 Posted 18 October 2007 I think he's scared of us and wants out quick!
lookwhaticando Posted 18 October 2007 Posted 18 October 2007 Mind you... it's not unlike him to say something he doesn't mean. I wonder if he retracted that statement immediately after making it (but the tabloid in question ignored that bit). "Sometimes I stay up... sometimes I dive... *thinks* ... I don't dive" Twat.

Asha Posted 18 October 2007 Posted 18 October 2007 Not everyone has English as their first language you know. It was really shocking to me the day I found out some people THINK in a different language. The whole idea seems too complex for me.

Asha Posted 18 October 2007 Posted 18 October 2007 I hope you are being sarcastic. And still, what a poor attempt. No I wasnt. Literally i never realised, naieve as the younger generation can tend to be, that some people thought in other languages.
Asha Posted 18 October 2007 Posted 18 October 2007 Drogba was mis-understood in that interview. I agree. You wouldn't sign on the dotted line, and in the press conference say, 'I think it's time for me to leave.' It just wouldn't happen, you'd make sure it was the right place before you sign.

Geo V Posted 18 October 2007 Posted 18 October 2007 Henry has left and Drogba may be the next away. I hope he stays as it would be benefical for the Premier League to keep the better players in the world.
Daggers Posted 18 October 2007 Posted 18 October 2007 Drogba for Leicester Coincidence that this news break on the same day that Meggers says a new face is on its way to The Walkers? I don't think so.

Brainy Posted 19 October 2007 Posted 19 October 2007 Chelsea striker Didier Drogba says he regrets his comments in a French magazine in which he made it clear he wished to leave the west London club. "I am a Chelsea player and will be 100% committed and supportive to my manager, my team-mates and the club," he said in a statement released by Chelsea.
Simi Posted 21 October 2007 Posted 21 October 2007 What a nob this guy is. Kissed his Chelsea shirt and then threw it in the crowd.
lookwhaticando Posted 23 October 2007 Posted 23 October 2007 And now - a few days later than scripted - he's performed a complete u-turn on the matter. Footballers.
