Wembley Old Trafford Emirates Stadium Stamford Bridge Liverpool (new) Everton (new) Stadium of Light St James' Park Villa Park City of Manchester Stadium Portsmouth (new) White Hart Lane Probably made a mistake with one of those, or perhaps missed a simple easy choice out.

But there may be a new ground at West Ham, and possibly Sheffield too (Don Valley?) One of the East Midlands grounds will also get games - wouldn't like to say which one though..

I think Chelsea and Spurs both want to be in new stadiums by then.

White Hart Lane in it's current state doesn't meet the Fifa regulations unfortunatley I don't think 36,000 is enough seats. Not entirely sure the Bridge does either (it's not all about capacity) I'm pretty sure we wouldn't allowed to have Villa Park and Stamford Bridge as they are both right at the bottom end of the attendance minimum. Evertons would need to be 50,000+ and Liverpools 60,000+ in order for our bid to be taken seriously, Portsmouths would have to be upwards of 40000, probabley 45000. Wembley Old Trafford and the Emirates should give us the three big venues we need, along with new Anfield if they ever get on with it. St James and Everton would do for one of the middle seized grounds.

And the local council would do everything it could to bring World Cup matches there. Whenever it is held, the 12 venues are likely to be: 1) Wembley 2) Emirates 3) Old Trafford 4) City of Manchester Stadium 5) New Anfield 6) New Everton 7) Villa Park (expanded) 8) Elland Road (expanded - likely to get the nod over any Sheffield venue) 9) Newcastle 10) Sunderland 11) East Midlands (1 of Leicester/Derby/Nottingham) 12) South (1 of Southampton/Reading/Portsmouth/Milton Keynes)
