Ultra Posted 8 November 2007 Posted 8 November 2007 From Sky Sports Cotterill leaves ClaretsBurnley have parted company with manager Steve Cotterill. Cotterill, who has been at Turf Moor since June 2004, has left the club by mutual consent after a disappointing run of results. The Clarets made a bright start to the season but have slipped down the Championship table after collecting just one point from their last three games. The decision has now been taken that Cotterill should stand down following Tuesday's 1-0 defeat at home to Hull. Cotterill's departure nevertheless comes as something of a surprise, given that Steve Davis was only appointed to the role of assistant manager last Friday. Burnley will announce further details at a press conference on Friday afternoon. Surely he couldn't be on his way here? Please, Mandaric, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
FilboFox Posted 8 November 2007 Posted 8 November 2007 Why is Cotterill so bad? He's young and has passion and would sort out the team... then again, come to think about it, he doesn't command any respect... the players would walk all over him!

FilboFox Posted 8 November 2007 Posted 8 November 2007 They've won one in ten. But that's with a shit team... then again... I understand why we wouldn't want him.
Ultra Posted 8 November 2007 Author Posted 8 November 2007 They've won one in ten. As opposed to us, who have won TWO in ten...
ASH17LCFC Posted 8 November 2007 Posted 8 November 2007 I think you'll find this thread is in the Leicester City Forum Ultra
Ultra Posted 8 November 2007 Author Posted 8 November 2007 It shouldn't be. There is NOTHING to suggest he's coming to us, and I hope it stays that way!
Manwell Pablo Posted 8 November 2007 Posted 8 November 2007 It shouldn't be. There is NOTHING to suggest he's coming to us, and I hope it stays that way! He's bang on the money on that score.
ASH17LCFC Posted 8 November 2007 Posted 8 November 2007 Same with alot of managers that have threads in the leicester city forum. Come on, ultra you know for a fact its him.
Ultra Posted 8 November 2007 Author Posted 8 November 2007 You're putting two and two together and getting 56. Cotterill is nowhere near the quality of Tigana or Royle. He'd almost be as bad as Peter Reid!

He'd almost be as bad as Peter Reid! Im not saying he is a good manager, i must state but he seems highly likely that he is in the frame to takeover now.
mancunianfox Posted 8 November 2007 Posted 8 November 2007 Im not saying he is a good manager, i must state but he seems highly likely that he is in the frame to takeover now. It it 'highly likely' or 'a nailed on fact'??? Make your mind up.
The People's Hero Posted 8 November 2007 Posted 8 November 2007 Ah, the number 80 bus, straight from halls to campus/town centre. Lovely jubbly.

You have a weird way of judging people. No to Royle, yes to Cotterill
