Time to go and watch Hinckley Utd instead

The Walkers has a bizarre atmosphere, it's either apathetic or poisonous. There always seems to be an air of lofty expectation. You'd think fans would have got used to the poor performances by now, shrugged and tried to support the players. I don't think booing or jeering helps much at all, I don't think these players are capable of much better on a consistent basis and I don't see how you could think any different given the evidence.

Different managers, different players, different tactics, investment, lack of investment, same results - and what stays constant? Large numbers of fans, particularly in the Kop, getting on players backs very early on in games when mistakes are made.

Personally I'm sick of hearing that our fans deserve better. In my experience, most of our fans are getting exactly what they deserve at the moment for being such passionless, negative, rent-a-crowd c**ts who expect to be entertained like royalty at every single game and then throw all their toys out of the pram as soon as we lose a game, declaring it to be the worst game they can remember - every f**king week.

Surely, you got to take into consideration the poor fans who fork out their hard earned cash on shite like that. I'm not excusing the fact that some fans can be absolute tits sometimes, but you gotta look at the bigger picture. We've been served dross for over 4 years now and the least we expect is our team to at least have a go. If anything, the booing and all that is a gut reaction. I don't think its fair to say that our fans deserve what we getting at the moment.

I thought we did have a go today. I don't think effort or commitment was the problem today - they just couldn't string passes together and didn't create clear cut chances. I will boo if they don't look bothered but I don't see the point in booing players who are trying to make something happen but are let down by lack of ability.

I would have more sympathy if I thought the fans that booed are the same ones that travel up and down the country each week but I don't think they are. The reception to away performances is usually fairly good and only turns bad in exceptional circumstances such as the Charlton game this season. Home games on the other hand... 0-0 at home against Sheffield United at half time having been slightly the better team and there were people booing in the Kop.

It's become a culture to do it and I don't think it's right. Fans can do what they want, they've paid their money, not arguing with that at all, but to then say they deserve better or that it helps the team the majority of the time ... I don't think that's the case at all.

If you want champagne football, free flowing moves culminating in wonder goals every week and the most talented footballers playing the game at its highest level, pay your money and go to Old Trafford or Stamford Bridge or the Emirates. Even that is a risk - they have their off days, too.

If, on the other hand, you are love your club whatever its failings and problems and can accept that we'll have highs and lows, that every "Claridge at Wembley" moment has to be earned with a hundred "Head in hands" moments, then carry on supporting Leicester.

No one ever said it was going to be easy...

Brilliantly put Fez, its taken a while tonight and many, many posts which I've looked through and finally someone has hit the nail on the head.

Now I understand that many football fans are fickle but are there any more so than ours?? I honestly think not.

If I cast my mind back just over a week to Chelsea, everyone was so proud and so emotionally attached to our club and how people can make such drastic reactions to a 1-0 defeat are unbelivable I for one certainly havn't and am not about to just because of a loss to Burnley.

Just to some up fans like ours, a mate of mine spoke to Humey a few weeks ago about Cort and he said thathe was really struggling in confidence since he's been at our club, and how do some of our fans respond?

Don't like it fck off.

I can't argue against that Fez, I do agree on most of it. But I just think in games like today in freezing conditions, the booing are gut reaction. Nothing is meant by it. And at the end of the game the players are applauded off the field regardless. The Sheff United game booing at half-time was uncalled for though.

No i didn't sing "a town full of bombers" you little Pr!ck. Just because i sit in L1 & occasionally converse with some of these so called "gangsters" doesn't make me a racist or a hooligan aswell as the majority of them aren't. So go & sling what you think are witty remarks at some other mug you dimlow.
