Webbo Posted 17 November 2007 Posted 17 November 2007 We only need a draw at home against a team that are already through, though. If we don't qualify the players want shooting.
Finnegan Posted 17 November 2007 Posted 17 November 2007 You clearly are. You're establishing some momentum and you have to beat a fairly average nation at home. 2 - 0 England, Crouch and Gerrard/Lampard. Biggest act of bottling ever if you fail.
Nath Posted 17 November 2007 Posted 17 November 2007 You clearly are. You're establishing some momentum and you have to beat a fairly average nation at home. 2 - 0 England, Crouch and Gerrard/Lampard. Don't even need a win. Just a draw
Finnegan Posted 17 November 2007 Posted 17 November 2007 Don't even need a win. Just a draw There you go then. You can even fook it up and still go through.
Nath Posted 17 November 2007 Posted 17 November 2007 We can lose and go through. If Andorra beat Russia...
AyewJoking Posted 17 November 2007 Posted 17 November 2007 OK, were not through but enough with the negative thinking. Ever since we lost 2-1 in Russia I've been a little depressed but we've been given another chance! Wooooooooooo!!
Bert Posted 17 November 2007 Author Posted 17 November 2007 Well after the ups and downs i'm not going to say that we're until/if we actually get there. European Championship Qualifying : Group E Table 17 November 2007 20:59 P W D L F A GD PTS 1 Croatia 11 8 2 1 25 6 19 26 2 England 11 7 2 2 22 4 18 23 3 Russia 11 6 3 2 17 7 10 21 4 Israel 11 6 2 3 19 12 7 20 5 FYR Macedonia 11 4 2 5 12 11 1 14 6 Estonia 12 2 1 9 5 21 -16 7 7 Andorra 11 0 0 11 2 41 -39 0 Key fixtures: 21 Nov: England v Croatia (2000 GMT) 21 Nov: Andorra v Russia (2000 GMT) The lowdown: England's qualification is back in their hands. Russia's last-gasp defeat in Israel means Steve McLaren's men will make it to Euro 2008 if they avoid defeat at Wembley against Croatia in their final game. If England do somehow lose, Russia would still need to win in Andorra. Despite their defeat in Macedonia, Croatia have qualified by virtue of Russia's defeat in Israel and can afford to lose by a single goal at Wembley and still finish top of top Group E.
AyewJoking Posted 17 November 2007 Posted 17 November 2007 Is it possible for Israel to qualify? If England and Russia lose their final game and Israel win theirs. Also, does results against each other take priority over goal difference?
Bert Posted 17 November 2007 Author Posted 17 November 2007 Is it possible for Israel to qualify? If England and Russia lose their final game and Israel win theirs. Also, does results against each other take priority over goal difference? Results. That's why we only need a point against Croatia because if we draw and Russia win, we will have the better head to head record against Russia because we beat them 3-0 and they beat us 2-1. Are you with me?
Durnerz Posted 18 November 2007 Posted 18 November 2007 With you. But not in a gay way. Yeah we believe you Hows Ratby these days Royston?

lookwhaticando Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 And people said the NZ rugby side were the biggest bottlers.
