Ozwin Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 We've had a two week break and that could have been the perfect time for a new manager to find out about the players, how they work and who's better than who etc. But now we're going to have a manager (Holloway by the sounds of things) coming in tommorow/Friday and he'll have a day to figure out what's going on. We'll lose the first game with our manager as always and it'll be 3 points dropped. God help the next manager.
Tabou Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 To be honest, I don't care how long it takes him to find the next bloke. As long as he is the right one. I dont care whether he is in position by the Bristol game. I don't care if he is in position by Christmas. We aren't going to get promoted this season, so there is no great rush for the new manager to "Get to know the players", as he has till August NEXT year to do that.
Nath Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 He has been on holiday for a week. Everyone expected a manager this week or next. Never before (from when we knew mandy was on hols)
Simi Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 To be honest I'd much rather him wait a month to get it right than get another manager in that could either be poached very quickly or just wouldn't not last the time we want them to. I sincerely hope the next man we get in is here for the length of his contract and hopefully an extension on top of that. We desperately need some stability to get us where we want to be, "the promise land!" Remember it's a three year plan, not a one season plan. Give the new man (Holloway) time.

Oh look at Ched coming out with some sensible talk..... Ive said it before and i'll say it again. The sex change operation worked wonders We need STABILITY! And a half decent manager. And get rid of some of our shitter players And swap the Kop with the Family stand!
Wherethefoxhat? Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 Because he wants to play Jesus ? Oh sorry! I thought you said MANGER
We Are Argyle Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 Its worse than last minute . Ian Holloway is still an employee of PAFC.
hollowhead Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 Its worse than last minute .Ian Holloway is still an employee of PAFC. As a full-time gardener for the forseeable future. He'll still have green fingers at least! He really shoudn't have moaned so much about being put on gardening leave last time. Now we know where to hit him where it really hurts. Deja vu Ollie?

You lot must suck shit loads of lemons and limes. You are soooooooo bitter
STUHILL Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 I think he was trying to get the best manager he could and in all fairness to Holloway, I dont think he was his first choice. Takes time to interview and contact other candidates and although I think holloway will be a decent appointment, I still think Manderic was after better and Holloway was a bit of a late backup plan!
BigGibbo Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 A) Because he hates us all & wants to leave us in an extremely frustrating limbo while he chuckles his tits off supping a twenty year old malt whiskey or B) Everyone who's good enough & has an ounce of dignity he has approached & has been swiftly told to go **** himself leaving him to choose between the few who are purely money motivated & he is now working out who will be the cheapest.
scrivins2 Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 he likes to keep us waiting and on the edge of our seats
Asha Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 he likes to keep us waiting and on the edge of our seats He likes to keep the candidates waiting, and by the time he gets out of his seat, the candidates have buggered off upstate.
