Is he back in training yet?

I thought about 2/3 weeks ago he was saying something about hopefully returning to training/the gym in a weeks or so's time.

Just wondering if anyone knows how he is? How he's getting on? and if he's back with us yet?

He joined on a 3 month loan in August, surely he'll have returned to Sunderland now?

his loan expired at the start of the month

Oh :giggle:

Good point.

I'm sure I read/watched/heard something about him returning to the gym/training soon but maybe he just meant with Sunderland and there were keeping us Leicester fans informed.

Sunderland defender Clive Clarke is still in the dark over why he almost lost his life earlier this season but insists he is ready to return to action.

While on loan at Leicester, the 27-year-old collapsed in the dressing-room during half-time in the Foxes' Carling Cup clash with Nottingham Forest in August.

The former West Ham player suffered two heart attacks and was only saved by emergency medical treatment at the City Ground.

But although the cause of his illness remains a mystery, Clarke is planning an imminent return.

He told the Daily Mail: 'I'm just hoping to get back into it and get on to the training pitch, hopefully in the next couple of weeks, certainly in the new year.

"It's been frustrating and I'm chomping at the bit to get back but the doctors have been trying to get to the bottom of it and although they know what happened, they still don't know what brought it on.

"It could be hereditary but they think that is unlikely as they have found nothing to suggest it is. It's been a drawn-out process but now I just want to move forward. What happened was terrible and will stay with me, but I've got to get back out on to the pitch. "

No offence to the bloke and I'm glad he's well but I'd be disappointed if we signed him up again.

I don't think we will TBH. Holloway likes Mattock and has Sheehan as backup so I don't see a real need to sign him.

I think we need to sign a left winger not a left back

He was a solid left-back who did his job well. We won't get him back, and having him back would have been a stupid suggestion under Megson's 5-3-2, but if he did come back here I wouldn't be disappointed at all.
