Nationwider Posted 29 November 2007 Posted 29 November 2007 In hindsight, I would have preferred Jewell as Holloway has done a shit job since joining us.
mitchofox Posted 29 November 2007 Posted 29 November 2007 Now that Jewell is at Derby (SHEEP ****ING) County and in the Premiership, who would you have preferred in hindsight?I would still choose Holloway now... I know at first I thought that I would have wanted Jewell or Tigana more but I really think that Holloway has more passion and desire which will really rub off on the team! Can't wait to be back in the Premiership! ollie all the way old trafford ect here we come
Wilkesy Posted 29 November 2007 Posted 29 November 2007 Holloway Hes just a lot funnier than the fat scouser!
Guest Posted 30 November 2007 Posted 30 November 2007 Pff!Its just interesting to see what people think about the appointment! Don't be so boring! Boring? BORING????? You ain't got a clue what boring is, bloody yoof of today.......
Thracian Posted 30 November 2007 Posted 30 November 2007 I never wanted Jewell in the first place. Holloway wasn't my first choice but I don't suppose we'd have been his. Good luck to the bloke. He's made a good start. And reading his comments in the Mercury encourages me to think he really could do well. He appears to want to make the best of people instead of believing a cheque book is the answer to every problem. He does have "gems" at Leicester. They might not be fully polished yet but they're a lot better than so many loanees and apparently unchecked signings we've brought in over the last 12 months or so. Of course there will be new faces. But Holloway seems determined that they should be considered signings - people who are or who will be better than what we've got. That will do for me - providing the action matches the words.
Babylon Posted 30 November 2007 Posted 30 November 2007 I'd wager one million pounds 99% of those saying holloway would have said Jewell before our appointment. Fickle.

I wanted Holloway when Levien was sacked.. although this time round i would of probably gone for Jewell. But am still more than happy to have Ollie in charge, lets hope he is here to stay.
lookwhaticando Posted 30 November 2007 Posted 30 November 2007 I'd wager one million pounds 99% of those saying holloway would have said Jewell before our appointment.Fickle. Too right. To be honest, Holloway wasn't a name I instantly thought of when pondering the possibilities for the most recent appointment. And as before, Jewell was a name that sprang to mind - again. But now that Holloway is here, he's got my full backing. He's done well for himself at Plymouth and has improved his standing - he deserves a little credit and a chance at Leicester (for me). He jumped at the chance to come here - quite literally, 'n all. Before Holloway was appointed, I'd have preferred Jewell, yes... but now Holloway's here, I don't care about Jewell.
ASH17LCFC Posted 1 December 2007 Posted 1 December 2007 I'd wager one million pounds 99% of those saying holloway would have said Jewell before our appointment.Fickle. Very Very true. Jewell is a better manager then Ollie.
Alexikokopops Posted 1 December 2007 Posted 1 December 2007 I'd wager one million pounds 99% of those saying holloway would have said Jewell before our appointment.Fickle. True story. That's why I voted for the J man.
Asha Posted 1 December 2007 Posted 1 December 2007 Would still have Holloway. Jewell's too sheepish in my honest opinion. Holloway's had decent start and we're looking at a bright future

Mike1989 Posted 1 December 2007 Posted 1 December 2007 Holloway for me, much more entertaining when he's in interviews. Just watchign SSN and he's hilarious at times. Plus with what money he's had at QPR and Plymouth he's done great. with money and with our squad he should take us up hopefully. I rate him as a manager. As for Jewell good manager took teams up but his team went very negative in his second season with Wigan, and personally i think Holloway with money would be a better manager.
