ArgyleLoyal Posted 7 December 2007 Posted 7 December 2007 Hey it's not so bad mate. OK we'll probs be getting Norris, Halmosi, Ebanks-Blake etc, but im sure Holloway would send you Cort and Newton as an exhange or something. For about £6-7 million maybe. Nice to see you have fallen under Ollie's spell straight away and can't even notice how totally out of order he is in this interview.
Fat Ron Posted 7 December 2007 Posted 7 December 2007 For about £6-7 million maybe. Your funny... Nice to see you have fallen under Ollie's spell straight away and can't even notice how totally out of order he is in this interview Would that be the same spell Plymouth fans fell under until he left?? Amazing how bitter people can get when things dont go thier way... We were the same when Little & Mcghee left us.. Whats you opinion of Sturrock going back to Plym?? You happy or not?
MPH Posted 7 December 2007 Posted 7 December 2007 Are you happy with your manager making comments like this?I wasn't happy with him leaving the way he did but have come to accept it and move on now but this is a whole new low from Ollie. These comments are not needed and border tapping up. I would love it if Argyle reported this to the FA. It just sums up what a hypocrite Ollie is because when he was down here and a manager made a comment about being interested in one of OUR players (and they are ours not OLLIES as he tries to make out in the interview) he would go nuts and critisise that particular manager for his actions through the media. Now see through your blue tinted and glasses and tell me does that make you proud he is your manager? Also comments about our chairman and new manager Paul Sturrock are completly unprofessional. Paul Stapleton isn't the most popular figure at Argyle sometimes due to a lack of investment in the team but he did nothing wrong when handling Ollie resignation especially considering Ollie comments made every think he would'nt want to leave the club. Now I personally don't have a problem with your club or fans so don't come back with stop moaning etc. Even you must recognise this is plain wrong what Ollie is saying. ... what about comments your chairman said to Oliie? seems like you are blinkered to not comment/see/realise what he had to do with all that. Seems like your chairman hit the self destruct button. understand what we went through and what we were deliberating," he said. "My wife knew how much I loved the place and how hard I had worked. This could have been the biggest mistake of my life because [Plymouth] wanted to offer me a new deal but there were things that people don't know, things that were said in the last three or four board meetings that will go with me to my grave." Thats right. Ollie has no integrity does he? Taken from the guardian link earlier on this thread..
ArgyleLoyal Posted 7 December 2007 Posted 7 December 2007 Maybe more for Ollie as fans won't be happy if we sell to the scumbag. Each of those players are worth atleast £2M though.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 7 December 2007 Posted 7 December 2007 Our board is full of Plymouth twats, oh, oh, Our board is full of Plymouth twats, oh, oh, Our board is full of Plymouth twats, It's all tractors and straw hats, Oh, oh, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGH F**k off and leave us alone!
ArgyleLoyal Posted 7 December 2007 Posted 7 December 2007 ... what about comments your chairman said to Oliie? seems like you are blinkered to not comment/see/realise what he had to do with all that. Seems like your chairman hit the self destruct button. Go on then what comments are these?
Fat Ron Posted 7 December 2007 Posted 7 December 2007 Maybe more for Ollie as fans won't be happy if we sell to the scumbag. Each of those players are worth atleast £2M though. I understand your loyalty to your team but £2m each...you sure?? Think you'll find they go for around £750 - £1m.. and thats being generous.
The People's Hero Posted 7 December 2007 Posted 7 December 2007 Our board is full of Plymouth twats, oh, oh,Our board is full of Plymouth twats, oh, oh, Our board is full of Plymouth twats, It's all tractors and straw hats, Oh, oh, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGH F**k off and leave us alone! It must be nice for them to actually have things to talk about - other than Jethro Tull's new architectural inventions of course. I hear the seed drill has gone down well since being introduced last year.
MPH Posted 7 December 2007 Posted 7 December 2007 Go on then what comments are these? see edit above. Ollie has too much integrity so he wont go spouting off what other people have said to him he will discuss what he has said but not what it said to him
ArgyleLoyal Posted 7 December 2007 Posted 7 December 2007 Would that be the same spell Plymouth fans fell under until he left??Amazing how bitter people can get when things dont go thier way... We were the same when Little & Mcghee left us.. Whats you opinion of Sturrock going back to Plym?? You happy or not? Yeah it is the same spell, axactly right thats what I'm trying to say. The thing is when he came to us he hadn't done this to a club before although he tried to at QPR before he got sacked basically. Ollie is nothing but a tactically inept media whore who is now acting very unprofessionally. Sturrock is a great manager but he's got a lot to prove in the CCC.
MPH Posted 7 December 2007 Posted 7 December 2007 Yeah it is the same spell, axactly right thats what I'm trying to say. You have a short memory for a guy who took you to a very respectable place in the champ...
ArgyleLoyal Posted 7 December 2007 Posted 7 December 2007 I understand your loyalty to your team but £2m each...you sure??Think you'll find they go for around £750 - £1m.. and thats being generous. Well we have already rejected over a million for Norris in the summer. We bought Halmosi for £400,000 and Ollie when he was here and the chairman have both said he is worth atleast 5 times as much now. And Ebanks-Blake has a sell on clause to Man Utd I think so he won't be going cheap but I would settle for less than £2m as he dosen't score enough for me. see edit above. Ollie has too much integrity so he wont go spouting off what other people have said to him he will discuss what he has said but not what it said to him HAHAHAHA. Ollie is creating new lies to distract you. In the press conference when he joined you he said Stapleton (our chairman) was a great guy and runs the club brilliantly. Now suddenly he's not started too well for you and Argyle fans are still on his back he makes up this crap about our chairman. You really are stupid!

I might be being ignorant or just plain stupid (not difficult believe me!!) but what exactly has he done? He has left a club that lacked ambition (Board not Fans I might add!!) for a club that will back him in the transfer market and not sell his best players from under him. If you were offered a job in the same proffesion as you were in but with a bigger office, more money better prospects for your future and with unlimited working expences your telling me you wouldnt take it??

Of course he is going to say he is a great guy. Most people do that upon leaving... You, my friend... are very naive If you read the whole of the guardian interview you will see exactly why he left.. But is it too much to expect you to actually find out facts?
ArgyleLoyal Posted 7 December 2007 Posted 7 December 2007 Usually I wouldn't blink an eyelid at a manager doing it but for someone who made himself out to be this loyal working class man who said he'd be here until he got us to premiership he's very dissapointing. Very hypocrital aswell as just weeks before he left he had a go at Akos Buzsaky for leaving to goto QPR for money. It would be nice if someone practiced what they preached. Oh and heres a quote from Ollie when managing us about Jim Magilton after the Ipswich boss made his interest public about Dave Norris: "I strongly consider they should keep their nose out of our business and conduct what they want to do in a more professional manner. "If they are trying to upset my player it is bang out of order. If they admire some of my players that's great, but they shouldn't talk about it in the papers." I suggest he takes his own advice.
Fat Ron Posted 7 December 2007 Posted 7 December 2007 the truth always comes out in the end. Of course he is going to say he is a great guy. Most people do that upon leaving...You, my friend... are very naive Thats very true MPH.... Did you see Martin Allen on Sky for the Cardiff game??? Very polite about Milan... One day we may find out the real reasons as to why he left.....

ArgyleLoyal Posted 7 December 2007 Posted 7 December 2007 the truth always comes out in the end. Of course he is going to say he is a great guy. Most people do that upon leaving...You, my friend... are very naive If you read the whole of the guardian interview you will see exactly why he left.. But is it too much to expect you to actually find out facts? I know what the truth is and it is that Ollie wanted more money in his wage budget to keep more out of contract players. who wanted better wage. The board said no you will have to wheal and deal a bit. He knew the score when he joined us about wage budgets etc, it wasn't even our best players going out of contract. The reason he's keeping it quiet is because it is such a non-issue and he just wants to look like the good guy. I'd personally say you (the Leicester fanbase) are the naive ones, believing Ollie's lies that you know nothing about.
Fat Ron Posted 7 December 2007 Posted 7 December 2007 Very hypocrital aswell as just weeks before he left he had a go at Akos Buzsaky for leaving to goto QPR for money But he has not left for Personal Money as your player did... he has left for Prospects!!! With the greatest respect to Plymouth, they will always be a selling club with the board they have, we know mate.... we were the same for years!! Im not denying that Ollie had a pay rise to come here but its the lure of an ambitious club with Transfer funds and more importantly funds to ensure existing players contracts will be renewed.. If he had jumped ship and said, they are gonna double my wages so im off I would agree with you entirly.. But he didnt.. Ollie wanted more money in his wage budget to keep more out of contract players. who wanted better wage. The board said no you will have to wheal and deal a bit. You have actually just proved this point..

ArgyleLoyal Posted 7 December 2007 Posted 7 December 2007 and what names did Ollie mention? None directly, just said every player he signed for us, also saying they don't get paid enough at PAFC. Don't try and cover this up. He trying to use the media to unsettle our players and it's wrong if you can't admit that I really hope it happens to you when you eventually start getting some good players again.

He also mentioned in the interview that he knows players all over the world... Come on Plymouth fans... use your brains! not just be blinkered to see what you want to see!!! here is another Novel idea for you... Maybe one day you could be grateful for what Ollie has done for your club. And where he has taken you... Shock horror!!!! You really don't have a clue so I can't be bothered to spend time trying to word my posts so you understand them anymore. fantastic! Bugger off then

Are you not happy with your progress over the last couple of years under ollie's reign. stop ****ing complaining if i were in your league position id be praising the guy. he's turned a crap club, with crap resources, and no money into a winning side!!! it doesnt get much better then that in acheivments value. now stop complaining and being bitter and enjoy your league position while it lasts. Anyone would think you were talking about Dennis wise the way you slate Holloway when he hasnt doen anything wrong. i agree he shouldnt comment on his old club here, but he is trying to justify his actions, why dont you listen to him. I wish Megson would come out and explain why he left, but tbh he left because of the money & Fame hed get at Bolton, we should be bitter about that right? but nah weve moved on, maybe you should do the same.

It's always happened to us! Did we like it? No. Did we go on other clubs messageboards incessantly whinging about it? Well I bloody didn't cos I know how irritating and redundant it is being lectured on something you've got no control over.
