filbertstreetboy Posted 14 December 2007 Posted 14 December 2007 All this talk about geting one over bolton and megson then i always see holloway being bitter that the plymouth fans are angry with him we need to forget this petty stuff and move on and concentrate on winning games, this division is so tight i dont belive we can hang on till january It seems january will be a battle between holloway and plymouths board and at the end of it we will be paying through the nose for average ccc players,is holloway really looking at players or does he just want to stick one to plymouth by signing there players?worring times ahead i feel winning or losing 3 games is the difference between being near the top or fighting relagation so holloway cant wait till january because its not certain we will sign these players especially if we are near the bottom

filbertstreetboy Posted 14 December 2007 Author Posted 14 December 2007 im saying lets try and get behind ollie and the team and forget about january, bolton and plymouth.whats holloway gonna do if he spends millions on these players frrom plym and they just come for the money and dont perform?it seems like a big gamble and one i dont want my club to take
Staf Posted 14 December 2007 Posted 14 December 2007 I agree that we should get behind the lads and i dont care if we dont get any plymouth players

I couldn't care less about Bolton, Megson left as he had to further his career. Yes it wasn't very nice of him as we resarected (can't spell it) his career and you'd think he'd show us some loyalty. But he didn't so there we go, but I don't think many people care about Bolton.

True. The only Trotters i talk about are Del Boy, Rodney and Uncle Albert.
The People's Hero Posted 14 December 2007 Posted 14 December 2007 True. The only Trotters i talk about are Del Boy, Rodney and Uncle Albert. And the two on the end of Elvis' legs.
maddog Posted 14 December 2007 Posted 14 December 2007 Theres that get behind the team and manager bullshit again. I am a season ticket holder, have been for a decade i am behind the team ffs, i have paid my money. I don't need people telling me to get behind the team when i fooking am its just annoying bullshit

I always get behind the lads, whether we're 4-0 up or 6-0 down, don't tell me what to do. Or i'll cry.
Cheese Me Posted 14 December 2007 Posted 14 December 2007 All this talk about geting one over bolton and megson then i always see holloway being bitter that the plymouth fans are angry with him we need to forget this petty stuff and move on and concentrate on winning games, this division is so tight i dont belive we can hang on till januaryIt seems january will be a battle between holloway and plymouths board and at the end of it we will be paying through the nose for average ccc players,is holloway really looking at players or does he just want to stick one to plymouth by signing there players?worring times ahead i feel winning or losing 3 games is the difference between being near the top or fighting relagation so holloway cant wait till january because its not certain we will sign these players especially if we are near the bottom Maybe. But Plymouth are doing better than us, that means their players are probably better than ours. If we take two or three of their best ones I'd be pretty pleased. And frankly football is full of petty rivalries, that's part of what makes it so much fun. I for one would also be quite please f we can get one over on Smegson, just as I would be over Forest, Derby, Cov, etc
filbertstreetboy Posted 14 December 2007 Author Posted 14 December 2007 these plymouth players when hearing we are intrested will straight away think of one thing and thats money, they wont perform as well as they did with plymouth (now outside the play offs btw)
WetFlannel Posted 14 December 2007 Posted 14 December 2007 Plymouth at home will be interesting... can't wait
Rich Fox Posted 14 December 2007 Posted 14 December 2007 Will olly still be with us if we lose every game until the new year and we are marooned at the bottom with teams like cov surging into the play offs and our gates dwindiling to 15000 will milan still be a free man. are we really doomed!

Question Answer (You just spoke about him )
Blue Lou Posted 15 December 2007 Posted 15 December 2007 All this talk about Plymouth players joining us in the January window.......What player in his right mind would leave a club one place below the play offs to join one 2 points off the bottom of the league?? I think we all need to start getting a bit real and realise we are no longer going to be able to buy the best players until such a time that our league position improves. The only reason Ollie is going after these players anyway is just to spite Plymouth and their fans. I for one am starting to think they had a lucky escape with this joker!!
Trumpet Posted 15 December 2007 Posted 15 December 2007 That bid for Norris and Hayes, where he bids 1mil for Hayes and 200k for Norris, so they only owe Bolton 100k, seems to me its a way of Holloway saying sorry and helping Plymouth out in a way..
Blue Lou Posted 15 December 2007 Posted 15 December 2007 And what was Plymouth's reply to that?............NO!! We'll be lucky to get any of them. After all you wouldn't give all our best players to Norwich now would you?
pauliepaul Posted 15 December 2007 Posted 15 December 2007 That bid for Norris and Hayes, where he bids 1mil for Hayes and 200k for Norris, so they only owe Bolton 100k, seems to me its a way of Holloway saying sorry and helping Plymouth out in a way.. Hayes isnt that good i would put in a bid for Hayles thou.. i understand that he and Ollie are bestest buddies in the whole wide world awwwwwww
Bluemoon Posted 16 December 2007 Posted 16 December 2007 Hayes isnt that good i would put in a bid for Hayles thou.. i understand that he and Ollie are bestest buddies in the whole wide world awwwwwww I think that's true. Also I remember Hayles saying of Plymouth, after Holloway had come here,  that it felt like he was a long way from home

I think perhaps you underestimate how muc Ollie is despised by Plymouth. It is not just their fans.......its their chairman, board and everything. Don't think they will want to do any sort of business at all with Ollie. especially something that is bordering on illegal. They're not a big club, and I think they have still have certain old fashioned ways.
richy2704 Posted 16 December 2007 Posted 16 December 2007 Hello Foxes, I am a Plymouth fan and its not you we hate, thought I would get that out the way first. Regarding IH its the way he left us that irritated us and because of this I cant in all honesty see you getting anything off us in january, another reason they wont go to you is yes you are a bigger/wealthier club than us and yes you have more history but that at the moment is all you have to offer. Some players and managers are money orientated but most want to play in the premiership and with our teams on current form you will be lucky to be a championship side where as we could(a big ask I know)go up at the end of the season. By the way I thought losing Gary Megson was a bit harsh on you . Cheers (please be gentle with me)
mutternutter Posted 16 December 2007 Posted 16 December 2007 Plymouth have some very good players, why would they be interested in coming here whilst the moron is in charge. Get rid of motormouth and get a proper manager to run the show. Ollie out
General 5 star Rastus Posted 17 December 2007 Posted 17 December 2007 I wouldnt call him a motormouth but he's clearly the wrong man for the job and needs to be offloaded now before we are relegated. Ras

I support Holloway as much now as I always have done. We stick by him and support him while he turns this mess around. Anyone who wants him out now, f**k off.
