Chairman of the Bored Posted 28 December 2007 Posted 28 December 2007 I'm thinking of going to ATP at Minehead this year. Great line up for the Explosions in the Sky curated weekend. But.........Butlins? Has anyone been to Minehead Butlins? What's it like? And for a concert venue? I'm afraid I never got beyond the caravan park at Wells Next The Sea.

Now I'm rich and famous, I thought it was about time I got that up market feeling. David Essex?
Zingari Posted 29 December 2007 Posted 29 December 2007 Yes, but I have discovered the secret tunnel that links the two....it's called the A47/M69/M6/M5 My meaning was, I never got to go to a Butlitz, I mean, Butlins, as a caravan was all we could afford. Now I'm rich and famous, I thought it was about time I got that up market feeling. Webbo Posted 29 December 2007 Posted 29 December 2007 ps i hope all this talk of wells next the sea has been helpful to chris and his question regarding ATP How could our combined knowledge and experience not be?
Chairman of the Bored Posted 30 December 2007 Author Posted 30 December 2007 Wells Next the Sea is beautiful. When the tide goes out you can walk out for miles with your dog and get away from the whole world. Love it. Plus, I listened to the '66 World Cup Final on a radio on that beach so it has special memories for me. Wells in Zomerzet is also nice. Wells are generally nice, I find.
Suffolk_fox Posted 30 December 2007 Posted 30 December 2007 We (Mrs SF and the 2 fox cubs) are off to London to watch the fireworks display. Should be a good gig by last years efforts!
