Mandaric's Millions

God Bless that crazy Serb.... I think for all his faults, and all the mismanagement before now, he really means business in January. We've already spent about £1.7m this window (Hayles can't have been more than £200k, 35 and out of contract in summer?) and I think there'll be more. Good to see some positive progress  Let's hope the last 5 and a half years or whatever it is can be put to rest in the next 18 or so months

You could never assume that Manderic would get everything right first time so you can expect some of the chosen managers were not the right people for the job, as we saw. When Milan gets the manager right, which IMO could be Ollie, then his money will be the crutial factor in taking this club forward.

Yeah the bloke has had his critics, but to be fair to him he is doing well for this club now and looks like he means business. Should give him a bit of a cheer next home to show he is still loved lol.

I read on a newspaper page footballs rich list somewhere, and it said around 73 million!

In Decembers fourfourtwo magazine MM featured in footballs 100 rich list with the figure of £75m on his head!

Let's hope ollie spends 10% of that in January

You say Milan's mis-management but really I think he's made all the right decisions.

Martin Allen bought a load of nonce players, I doubt we'd be getting players like Howard and Hayles. He let Megson leave because his heart obviously wasn't in the job. And bringing in Holloway considering who was out there was a superb choice. And now he's backing him even though play-offs this year looks out of reach.

But yeah, all credit to the guy. I'd hate to think where we'd be without him. There certainly wouldn't be much hope for the future.

That is spot on mate. Mandaric backed Allen to the hilt, for whatever reason, Allen and Milan didn't get on and he left. Don't get me wrong, I think a ot of Allens signings were pap, but Milan backed him. He brought in Megson, who wasn't many peoples first choice but is a good manager - just look at Bolton. Then he forked out to bring in Ollie from Plymouth who I agree, is superb!!

This club has so much more ambition from a board point of view than we did this time last year - and we certainly have a chairman who isn't affraid to splash the cash!

I'm just worried that he's spending money we don't have, and almost gambling that it gets us promoted. If we don't get promoted in 3 years, MM will fork off, and we will be financially fooked.

he sold Portsmouth for a hefty profit and didnt even spend half of that money to buy us so, there is plenty of money to go around still.

It is one of the questions we asked last year & didn't get a full answer. Ownership is via the Milan Mandaric Revocable Trust and the MMR Trust would handle this situation, our main fear would be a period of uncertainty & whether any transactions could take place during this period.

That said we hope Milan stays in good health & gets us back to the Premiership as he is driven to do

This is my worry, and I believe it will happen......unless he gets a class manager.....they are out there Milan.
