Ricey Posted 11 March 2005 Posted 11 March 2005 ...is that getting into the Quarter Finals is a massive achievement and no matter what happens on Sunday nothing can change that. We've had an appalling season but what we have achieved in the FA Cup is something we can all be proud of even if we get a tonking by Blackburn. It's very easy to start thinking about going to the Millennium Stadium and playing in the Semi's but lets just remember what we have achieved so far.... We avoided an embarrassment against Blackpool....it took 2 games but we did it nonetheless and deserved to do so. We then faced Reading, a team battling for promotion and who were performing a lot better than we had this season yet we managed to put in a great performance and knock them out via a last gasp winner. Finally we outclassed and dominated top half Premiership dwellers Charlton to gain a deserved 2-1 victory. Everyone was on a massive high after the Charlton game and I remember feeling de ja vu because it reminded me of the heady heights of the O'Neill days. I'm over the moon with what we have done in this competition and I think we should all realise this, we have no divine right to beat Blackburn and should we give them a game I will be pleased. It's exciting stuff, cherish it.
