Joe. Posted 12 January 2008 Posted 12 January 2008  Oh dear Newcastle. Man Utd 6 Newcastle 0. Ronaldo hat trick, Tevez x2 (one that I'm not sure crossed the line) and Ferdinand. A true demolition. Serves them right for sacking Allardyce. Oh, and Alan Smith sent off for dissent at the end. Fool.

Suffolk_fox Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 Newcastle were poor. You would thing that some chairmen would learn from the mistakes of others. The most succesful teams in the Premiership tend to have had stability in the managerial department and those that change their managers more than once a year struggle. Sam is a top manager, good enough for the England job imho. I have said it elsewhere on this thread, Newcastle are bigger off the pitch than they are on the pitch, and get too twitchy when the fans get on the manager's back. FFS, they were 11th when they sacked Sam Allardyce - hardly a bad position to be in! But yes, Man Utd highlighted the Newcastle defence for the shambolic disaster they are. Could have been double figures!
