Shit_arse Posted 12 January 2008 Posted 12 January 2008 Following a solid performance today, and by the looks of it a changed side is emerging (hopefully), where to you think we need to add to the squad in the rest of the transfer window.... I think we should look at one or two loan signings for cover, to add to more competition for places. Can't see where else we need anyone..... Maybe a Right Winger and a big battling center midfielder.. ? Thoughts ?
Bryn Posted 12 January 2008 Posted 12 January 2008 Left back and a complimentary centreback to Kisnorbo if possible.
FleckneyFox Posted 12 January 2008 Posted 12 January 2008 2/3 Defenders - Experienced Left Back, Better Centre Back especially if McAuley goes, Possibly better Right Back 1/2 Wingers - 2 experienced wingers from this country 1 Goalie - Can wait until summer Tough centre mid - Can wait until summer we are getting Osbourne
Ozwin Posted 12 January 2008 Posted 12 January 2008 Left back Centre back Couple of youngsters to add to the youth setup maybe? I dunno really.
CupidStunt Posted 12 January 2008 Posted 12 January 2008 He said in his interview he is after a left back http://www.itv-football.co.uk/story/0,1923...3042777,00.html
David Guiza Posted 12 January 2008 Posted 12 January 2008 i think we need another winger for the squad as the 2 we have are quality but there the only 2 ... plus a reserve keeper
acooling08 Posted 12 January 2008 Posted 12 January 2008 maybe a left back. Get osbourne for backup if clem or oakley is injured. WE DON'T NEED TO BUY ANYONE ELSE.
SamL Posted 12 January 2008 Posted 12 January 2008 left back and centre back Agreed, preferably a centre back with a bit of pace and an experienced left back. I think we're ok for right backs as I believe James Chambers is the best player we have in that position with Stearman as cover.
blue blood Posted 12 January 2008 Posted 12 January 2008 something that ollie said today stuck in my mind. Good players dont need coaching they just need to be pushed. Then you get good players behind them to keep them on their toes. I think we can see a trend here where 1 player will be shipped out and be replaced by a better player Simple really!
Shit_arse Posted 12 January 2008 Author Posted 12 January 2008 Why a left back everyone? I think Mattock and Sheehan are good enough for this division. Who would you replace then with?
WetFlannel Posted 12 January 2008 Posted 12 January 2008 Why a left back everyone? I think Mattock and Sheehan are good enough for this division. Who would you replace then with? We have been linked with Capaldi... he wouldnt be a bad option
Mort Posted 12 January 2008 Posted 12 January 2008 We have been linked with Capaldi... he wouldnt be a bad option Isnt he a right-back?
FleckneyFox Posted 12 January 2008 Posted 12 January 2008 Tony Capaldi, Chris Armstrong, Matt Sadler, Lewin Nyatanga, Martin Cranie, Ross Wallace, Iain Harte Any of those would do in order of how much i'd want them.
dandannieldanok Posted 12 January 2008 Posted 12 January 2008 Isnt he a right-back? No, left-back/left midfielder.
Joe. Posted 12 January 2008 Posted 12 January 2008 Still need wingers to cover Bori and Zsolt. Also could need a left back possibly.
SamL Posted 12 January 2008 Posted 12 January 2008 Why a left back everyone? I think Mattock and Sheehan are good enough for this division. Who would you replace then with? Because they are both young and fairly inexperienced. We need somebody who's going to play consistently and carry the weight of expectation on his shoulders which is very hard for somebody like Mattock to do because he's so young. I'm not saying he can't do it but we need somebody who is experienced in that area to help him and Sheehan grow as players.
Mort Posted 12 January 2008 Posted 12 January 2008 No, left-back/left midfielder. Ah... not going to displace Stearz then S.Sinclair Yes Yes Yes... and thanks to the African Cup it'll never happen... <_<
dandannieldanok Posted 12 January 2008 Posted 12 January 2008 Capaldi, S.Sinclair and Kavanagh. Can't see why you'd still want to get him mate, with Oakley here and Osbourne arriving.

After watching City today I really can not see how Holloway is going to fit Isiah Osbourne into the midfield, as I see it, he can only do it if he drops either Stephen Clemence or Matt Oakley and after their performances today that just ain't gonna happen, dropping one of the wingers will unbalance the side, so to my mind thats a non starter as well. So it looks like Isiah Osbourne will be sitting on the bench. Do you agree ?

Tevez Posted 12 January 2008 Posted 12 January 2008 Regarding Kavanagh and Sinclair I still believe we need them. Weso is on the rebuilding process after getting alot of injuries in the past. Wheres the central midfield back up? Kavanagh is the man. Also regarding S.Sinclair, i have been told by 3 Very Reliable sources and i can back these up by PM about him.
