Championship, League 1 and League 2 ..... They should keep The Championship make the highlights longer and give League 1 and 2 a different programme because it is called "The Championship" not The Championship, League 1 and 2

This is good because they use BBCi very well - you can watch different sports/games while a programme is on by pressing the red button - they could easily use the same technology to do the same as Sky do - you can select the match or league you want to see after hitting the red button. ITV's interactive service is just like teletext....

Shrenchel Posted 22 January 2008 Posted 22 January 2008 Thing about lower league football is that a relatively small number of neutrals tune in just for the aesthetic value of the football. It makes sense for them to cram all 3 leagues worth of clubs into the programme to get the maximum number of viewers. However, I do think seeing as they've got 4 channels they could stick a highlights programme exclusively for the championship somewhere in the schedule. I fail to believe that whatever shit they put on ITV4 at 11pm on a Sunday night gets better ratings than it would.
