blue blood Posted 22 January 2008 Posted 22 January 2008 pptv is like some tv station form abroad. As far as i am aware any match that is scheduled to be on tv + all prem matches are shown on the net. Leicester matches on the net will be restricted to the ones that are on sky.

It's peer to peer TV (P2PTV); it's a network that uses a lot of personal computers to transmit a movie or sporting event. You need special software to use it, Sopcast is one but there are several. Basically while you are downloading a football match which might be a Sky showing in Asia or Scandinavia, you are simultaneously uploading the same thing to someone else. The link to Wkipedia tells it best. It's a bit wonky and you definitely need a fast internet connection, the commentary is rarely in English.
