Arsenal strikers Emmanuel Adebayor and Nicklas Bendtner could be investigated after they clashed in the 5-1 Carling Cup loss to Tottenham.

With seven minutes of Tuesday's match remaining, the pair squared up to each other twice and Bendtner appeared to suffer a cut on his nose as a result.

Skipper William Gallas was forced to separate his team-mates, while referee Howard Webb also intervened.
