Tommy G Posted 26 January 2008 Posted 26 January 2008 Puyol was, if not still one of the best defenders on the Planet. Would be a tidy signing for spurs and could fixz their leaky defence. I'd imagine he would form a naturally great partnership with King (if he is ever fit again). Spanish speaking Ramos would also be a lure for him
sdb Posted 26 January 2008 Posted 26 January 2008 spurs have failed to get woodgate as they won't offer any player over £50k per week so i doubt puyol will come. plus the fact that he'd be leaving maybe the biggest club in the world and CL football...but you never know i suppose

He was also about the best player on the pitch that day - top man! I'd be surprised if he left Barca though - unless they don't want him anymore

The Reverend Posted 27 January 2008 Posted 27 January 2008 Puyol IS NOT as good as everyone makes out. I dont think he would greatly improve their defence. I dont even think hes that much better than Ledley King. Overrated.
