Floating Fox Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 They were. If it is the right one and Everards don't sponsor another league. We played Asfordby i'm sure last season beating them 3-1. The league is of a semi-pro standard anyway really with teams like Quorns, Barrow Town etc players playing in that league for their mates sunday teams. Our team was mainly formed of Quorn and Bardon players. Yeah different leagues mate! Ashfordy play in the Everards Senior League Div 1. Which is basically the 2nd Highest league in the county...
Durnerz Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 Yeah different leagues mate!Ashfordy play in the Everards Senior League Div 1. Which is basically the 2nd Highest league in the county... Ahhh, must have been their ground we used to play a team from there, lovely looking place.

Manwell Pablo Posted 7 February 2008 Posted 7 February 2008 Yeah different leagues mate!Ashfordy play in the Everards Senior League Div 1. Which is basically the 2nd Highest league in the county... Is that Sunday League though, I thought the Everards Prem had like Ibstock United and Bardon Hill Sports in it and I thought they played on Saturdays. EDIT: Ashfordby are in the same division as Ivanhoe, and they definatley play on Saturdays! So he hasn't dropped down to Sunday League football at all, in fact if Ashfordby go up he'll still actually be in the Non League System.
Uncle Albert Posted 7 February 2008 Posted 7 February 2008 Is that Sunday League though, I thought the Everards Prem had like Ibstock United and Bardon Hill Sports in it and I thought they played on Saturdays. It does mate. My club team Barrow Town are doing pretty well in it... Promotion seems to be on the cards. As they are doing a new league system next season.

Uncle Albert Posted 7 February 2008 Posted 7 February 2008 Yeah it feeds the Central Midlands League now doesn't it. I think you can enter the FA cup at that level. Bloody hell. Barrow Town reserves are that good they are going into the Everards Senior League. So the ressies will be playing the likes of Rothley first team. If Barrow do get promoted hopefully they can expand on their newly built stand.
