The 4 teams below us...

Recommended Posts

We drew 3 of them and won 1 of them earlier in the season against those lot.

Even if we got them at home, nothing should be taken for granted and all 4 games are crucial and they could come here and beat us.

We have them all at home (Sheff Wed, Scunny, Colchester and Preston).

Anyone else think these 4 games will be critical?

We've not lost to any of them away from home this season either.

Sheff Wed - Megson

Scunny - Megson

Colchester - Megson

Preston - Taggart/Burrows.

All of these sides were extremely poor when we played them, but on the day we were just as bad. Apart from maybe Wednesday. No doubt we can beat these teams, but you never know when we're at home!

We won't go down.

Like Ched says, we've not lost to any of them and they're as bad, if not worse than us. Even I think we'll get good enough results against these four teams.

As proven time and time again, anyone can beat anyone in this division. QPR went to Watford and gave them a spanking. It wouldn't surprise me if we won on Tuesday as well.

Its all there for the taking.

This is exactly what im worried about.

These sort of teams come to the Walkers to defend and nick 3 points, and when teams do that, we really struggle. And if we dont get at least 9 points from these games, i think we are in deep shit.

We are so inconsistent that we could beat the better teams and lose to our rivals. Palace and Watford are two that we put away and then we lose to the Plymouths of the league!

Important but not crucial. Its what happens in between that will make or break us.

You could well be right.

One other thing that worries me is that the teams that are above us don't really look like getting dragged in. Norwich have gone on a fantastic run. Cov seem a bit up and down, I can't see them getting dragged down much more though, if they can keep Misfud fit. QPR now seem a well established side. Only Blackpool I can see getting dragged down again - but recently they've picked up.

With the games we've got coming up - Watford, Norwich and Cov we could really be struggling.

We also got Hull at home, which is there for the taking as well.

Yep, we can never break these teams down.

Got to stick with 2 wingers (proper wingers, not Hume) and tell them that if they leave their wing by more than 5 yards they will be shot. Spread the game so that it opens up a bit and makes a bit of space.

Can we do it???

To be honest though Ched, playing better sides could be a blessing in disguise.

Watford- Although I can't see us beating them, I think they were top when we beat them 4-1 weren't they? Who knows what can happen if the right Leicester turn up. We seem to do better against better teams anyway, I'm hopeful.

Norwich- This is the one I think we'll lose to be honest. Norwich hammered us really at Carrow Road and I expect to see more of the same at the Walkers if I'm honest.

Coventry- We were superb that day, as Coventry were awful. This one's got major battle written all over it. We can quite easily nick something from this game, like I said before it all depends which Leicester turn up.

Another huge game, as they are the team above us i think. 3 points at the Ricoh will drag them into the shit aswel.

Hull are not there for the taking at all!

They've been on a good run themselves lately and have aspirations off the play-offs.

We got battered by them already this season under Holloway, so it's far from a game that's there for the taking.

The answer is yet to be unearthed!!

I am more nervous against the so called lesser teams, than against the big boys to be honest.

Like someone else said when these teams come to us they really do dictate the game to us. The walkers has no battle ground attitude like filbert street had!

We must not lose any of these games i feel if we dont lose any we'll be ok. I think 8 points minimum we MUST take from these games but i'd be looking for 10 i think. if we were to take 10 that gives us 44 points so only 1 other win somewhere would secure our status. BUT if these games go wrong we're relegated me thinks.

Im sure we will all agree that we can blame the pitch if we go down!!

lol

Quite the contrary. You are a long ball team that dosen't play the game on the ground. The pitch is an absoloute bonus to your chances of staying up, as most teams would be playing better football than yourselves -- your pitch gives you a 50 50 chance. Good luck

What the hell :S

If memory serves me right you are a Leicester fan? Or were you a closet Plymouth fan?

:crylaugh:

I always thought you were a Plymouth fan.

And how do you know that anyway? Most of the sensible Plymouth fans have said that under Holloway, you played good football. Perhaps the pitch hinders us.

You know you're in shit street when you have a Plymouth fan telling you about your chances of staying up.
