Trav Le Bleu Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 But is Ollie worried about the situation cos MM is sack-happy or would he feel a little less worried with a different chairman? I know it's a moot point - we got MM and that's that - but MM's comments are not helping anyone.
Thracian Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 But is Ollie worried about the situation cos MM is sack-happy or would he feel a little less worried with a different chairman?I know it's a moot point - we got MM and that's that - but MM's comments are not helping anyone. Surely any manager will have gone into MM's employ with his eyes open. Fortunately, cos Holloway was relatively successful at Plymouth, he'd get another managerial job if his days at Leicester came to a premature half. I was struck when he joined us how little he seemed to know about the club and I think it's shown since in some ways. Consequently, apart from the blow to his pride, I cannot see MM's waving him farewell would be especially agonising for the manager. Big wads make a soft cushion and Leicester seems nothing more than a professional part of his life to me. Okay, it's the managerial challenge of Holloway's career and I'm sure he'd like to have done well but he's been ousted before, by QPR and another, even more hefty pay-off should be more than soothing of the wounds if it happens. MM on the other hand must be wondering when he's next going to get value for his outlay. He must be feeling like the guy who got lucky at roulette once but now can't win whatever he does.
Darkzzz_ Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 True, maybe you should have a word with Ollie or in this case MM because most of this type of talk happens as a result of something they've said. Yes thats a fair comment by you. I would love to have a show down with MM. I think one of the Admin's should get in touch with the club to get MM on here Answering some questions from us. It is only fair.
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 MM is not stupid enough to know that if he gets rid of another one fans will want him gone so bad just for the stability of the club. And we can hardly go back to before as MM will sell to another rich businessman (a PLC can hardly afford to buy it from Milan can it?) Yes and lets hope it's Bill Gates from his IT connections.. and a guy with more money than sense who will invest up to a Billion pounds to make us the best team in the world !!
