Geo V Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 15% if I remember correctly. Maybe we should've accepted that offer from Wolves in the summer. Hindsight is a great thing. Its not that bad then. Time to cash in if he isnt going to be used.
Guest ttfn Posted 23 February 2008 Posted 23 February 2008 Fryatt overlooked again with Hayles preferred off the bench. Why?
dandannieldanok Posted 23 February 2008 Posted 23 February 2008 Fryatt overlooked again with Hayles preferred off the bench. Why? Holloway's chosen man, it is a real shame because Fryatt is much better than Campbell, Hume and Howard nevermind crappy Hayles. People will pick holes with his scoring record but you try and score 20-a-season with the likes of Josh Low, Andy Johnson and Stephen Hughes supplying you. Agreeing once again with the initial post of this topic, if I were him I'd find a quick getaway before this club and this management harms his career.

As the emoticon will tell you, i'm not sure about that.

CaptainClemence Posted 23 February 2008 Posted 23 February 2008 A lot of Leicester fans seem to think Fryatt should be playing every game. Lets not forget the new players this season have just been so far poor this season. Fryatt has been very poor for over 2 years. If he's going to get all the fans cheers for over 2 years of few goals, and plenty of lazy body language on the pitch then you may as well bring back Levein with Kelly and Taylor as assistants  Hammond hasn't played once this season and has a much better goalscoring record than Fryatt, get him fit and give him a chance. Im presuming his (ankle) is fine now though. Looking back now, i can't remember Hammond ever really being that bad, compared with how our strikers are performing now and others that have left this season, i.e Cort, De Vries

Fryatts had problems scoreing for 19-20 months, that I wont argue.
dandannieldanok Posted 23 February 2008 Posted 23 February 2008 That doesn't make you a better striker. Good point but we don't create many chances at all and I believe Fryatt has more ability than the others to create one for himself.

Fryatt is good with the ball when he can be arsed to get it, but strikers ultimately need goals. If their not getting goals, then at least he could be getting plenty of assists, setting up the other striker, but i don't think he's got many of them either. Then again who would we replace Fryatt with? I don't really know any quality strikers who would want to come to us and score loads of goals for us. Then again Howard got 20 last season, maybe if a quality player moves to Leicester, their quality slowly depriciates as each game passes. How many players in the last 4 seasons have we had that have come to Leicester and improved dramatically? Then gone on or could go on to bigger and better things i.e Premiership, European football. If you discount Stearman and Mattock who were already with us in the academy, i can't think of anyone. Where's our Theo Walcott, Gareth Bale? And if we can't sign a player, who eventually improves to that level /produce a player of their quality then we have to go for determination and passion. But wheres our Steve Walsh, Robbie Savage, Gerry Taggart?

I think Fryatt deserves to get a look in with Hume on the Wing, Howard or DJ up with him, and Oakley and Clemence behind him. The thing with Fryatt is he's been stuck in a team that can't make chances for a long time, the season he arrived he actually hit 20, 14 for Walsall 6 for us. The problem for him, and probabley about 8 other players at Leicester, is that when he plays we don't play to his strengths, he needs the ball into his feet in space around the 18-20 yard box. We as a team don't achieve this. This is just my opinion but I think in the future he will be a very very good player. In regards to the club in general. We do seem to have a very negative effect on every player that signs for us, and thats an internal problem that Holloway needs to sort out, which requires time, not a bi weekly lynch mob.
