How have we ended up in a relegation battle?

Yeah we need leadership. We need a strong, Bold character who can get our side going when we are down, Like now. we need some one to emerge from the squad and inspire them to victory and turn around our fortunes.

As Flynny and Moreton say: The players are frozen. They are frightened to make a mistake because their confidence is low and they fear the crowds reaction. It's easier to hide in this situation. That's why I argued elsewhere that real a thick-skinned leader(s) is essential to the team's recovery.

If the supporters can't encourage the players even when a mistake is made, which is understandable given recent times, then who is going to motivate who first? The players are incapable of doing it because this team has the mental strength of a gnat. Just witness conceding a goal straight after a sending off.

I wouldn't underestimate the supporters power to effect a change in performances. Unfortunately while we all argue for different things and moan and groan at the first sign of things going wrong, Rome is burning.

The 4-1 win against table topping Watford.

From this point on if anyone mentions this as some kind of mystical match that was going to be the turning point of our season, or claims we should be doing a lot better because "we can beat Watford 4-1" I will cut them.

No. That's too soft, Alex.

Tie them to a chair, wax their bollocks, and then burn one testicle, then the other. Slow and painful.

Of course you'll do the honorary job, and I'll be filming it.

How has it come to this.

All the pre-season optimism, the world class Hossein Kaebi and the transfer coup of Carl Cort.

The 4-1 win against table topping Watford.

The amazing signing of Clemence, player of the year at Birmingham who were promoted.

The good signing of Dj Campbell, pacey striker who also scored goals for Birmingham.

The win against Forest, against Villa and the huge moral victory against Chelsea scoring 3 goals.

The optimism when Ollie arrived, a great win against Bristol City.

An amazing Hungarian performance against Cov, a great win.

The signing of Oakley for just 500k, Derby's best performer in the Premiership he will rip up the Championship.

Steve Howard, 20 odd goals last season in Derby's promotion season.

The fact we have one of the best defences in the league.

And yet we are just 3 points above bottom, an unbelieveable position to be in with the players we have.

Spent the most money of any team in the division and we still can't get anywhere.

Yet we can't score any goals, or defend well anymore

Ollie will be gone soon if we keep losing but who would want to manage us then?

I just can't believe how this season has turned out after all that optimism.

So what has happened to Leicester City, what has happened?

Seems straight forward to me 4 wins from 17 matches thats whats happened thats relegation form no ifs/buts/or maybees.

Sadly I think cheering's been banned in my part of the ground. At least that's what I presume cos it's so long since I heard any. :(
