Alexikokopops Posted 14 February 2008 Posted 14 February 2008 Link I have a lot of time for Peter Jackson, he visited my mate's dad (both are/were huge Lincoln fans) in hospital the day before he died of cancer just a fortnight ago. Lets hope the radiotherapy goes to plan. Best of luck to him.

My dad too, though not while he was young, two other close members of the family this year, both young, and my son's fiance's father not long back, when just in his 40's. Insidious disease. One pathway to the answer may be found in semen and the inhibitors therein which prevent rejection by a woman's immune system, at least so it's been suggested. The feeling is that cancer might take a stronghold by using the same or variations of those same inhibitors, at least in some cases and with some cancer. By unmasking the inhibitors the gremlins would be exposed and vulnerable to attack and therefore potential treatment for the patient. At least that's how I understand it and sincere apologies if any medics are reading and who might doubtless explain that I've got it all wrong. Not that what I say would help anyone right now and I can only wish Mr Jackson the very best of luck during his ordeal.
