This football club is now rotten to its core. The players don't want to play with any heart, the chairman's in it to make a fast buck (fine, as long as it works out for everyone) and fans who have turned the Walkers into an intimidating place not for opponents, but for Leicester. Ok, we've had little positive to shout about so it's not the fans' fault but the negativity helps nobody.

So start again.

Get rid of ALL the first team squad except young Mattock, who hopefully is yet to be corrupted by the cynicism.

For me, I'd be sad to see Kisnorbo and Fryatt leave. In the right circumstances they'd be quality players for the club (in a way, Kisnorbo has been regardless of the chaos). I literally could not care less about the rest of them.

Start again by buying up a load of players who actually want to play for this football club. At least when we had no money it meant that players were coming here because they wanted to play for Leicester City and not because they wanted more money.

It may seem like a very radical solution but its the only way to cure this club of its negativity. All the players are infected by it.

I'd rather have Gradel and Beswick playing for this team than a load of mercenaries who are at Leicester for one last pay day. Poor Ian Holloway's going to lose his job at this rate because his players are motivated more by money than the badge. Stoke and Bristol City have shown what can be achieved through pride in the shirt, and Leicester have shown what a reckless disregard for the time and money spent by their supporters can do to a club.

So your basically saying sell a whole team apart from Mattock and buy a fresh team of players who ''wan't to play for leicester city?'' lol:crylaugh:

Mental!!

Yeah! Right! Muppet.

Leicester City used to be an attractive proposition because of the nature of the football club. Now it is attractive to prospective recruits because they know they can make more money here as we naively sign up a load of shite to 3 year deals.

You try telling me that any one of our players (apart from maybe Kisnorbo) is capable of playing in a Premier League team that would have even the remotest chance of staying up.

Also, may I point out that a similar thread suggested that we keep just 5 members of the first team squad and the starter of that thread was not panned.

MM IS only in it for a quick buck. He has no personal allegiance to this football club so why else would he sink money into us?

Name 2 'Big name Players' that have been attracted to this club in recent times due to the nature of the football club?

Still really confused by this?? ( As mentioned in my last post that you have not commented on as yet) Please explain how, by paying £25million for a club then investing a further £11Million Milan is in this for a "quick buck".

Either you failed Maths miserably at school or I am missing something painstakingly obvious?!?!

(If its the latter, Please explain and I will duely apologise for doubting your theory)

do you know the figure paid for the Club?

If I remember, it was more like 5 Million. Then there was something like he will agree to put in 10 mill (which he already has).

Really?!?!

I wasnt aware that the club cost him so little.

Still doesnt support ttfn's thoery that he is in it to make a 'quick buck', as he has invested £15million if your right.

:giggle: Very true.

Maybe we could re-load the season from 1999 and offer MON an improved contract to stay???

I know its digging up old crap, but milan has stated himself that it has cost up to now 11m, that includes the millions he has wasted.

He has taken on the club to make money, providing its on the back of us doing well...no problem.

I know the sheep will get 2 parachute payments but still 50m for a 'second' div club next to the 4-5 Milan paid for us suggests theres indeed money to be made.

Given the time again i'm sure he wouldn't bother, but he has to a large extent created the situation

I am NOT suggesting that this is a viable or practical idea! Please read the thread. This is merely a suggestion to get people thinking.

As for big name players that wasn't my point. My point was that even though the players were poor, they wanted to play for the club. If you think that Clemence, Howard and Oakley really want to play for Leicester City for the prestige rather than the money then you're mental.

And as for MM, he paid £4.6million to take over the club, and will pay a total of around £15 million if we get promoted in 3 years. The £25 million figure is absurd as it includes the debt on the stadium which he has taken on, but not paid off.

All I'm saying is, would it make things any worse? We've had 3 managers this season so we've had constant change. If we got rid of all the players in the summer and Ollie got in what was totally 'his team' then at least we could judge him fairly. Because at the moment we're making do with cast-offs and Allen's men, rather than Ollie's team.

I am commenting from a lonnng way off....but it seems to me, the basis of this topic, is one of the reasons the team is so poor at the moment. These players play in fear of failure every week, if they dont win they get booed, slated and told they are a waste of money.

One must assume this increases a level of pressure on them, which in turn leads to negative, scared football, especially when they go a goal down. Look at the squad, are those players good enough to be in this league? if they are then they need confidence and good management.

At this stage i can not see where they are going to get either.

find an answer to the confidence issue...the rest will fall into place.

CMONNNNNNN YOO BLOOOOOOSSSSSSSSSSSSS
