Sods Posted 10 March 2008 Posted 10 March 2008 Whatever the team is, it needs to go into the game with the mentality of at least getting a draw. A draw will do. That would be a bonus point for us. It could even mean only needing another 3 wins and not 4 if we can get 1 or 2 draws along the way.I would consider playing a 5 in midfield, or one off a striker deep, to saturate playing options for the opposition. Hit hard on the break. Simple stuff! When i get down to the ground tomoro night and see one up front i will not be happy, to me its sets out were playing for a draw. Bugger that Southampton have been just as shite as us. 3 points please. I fully expect Sheff Wednesday to win at Colchester as well tomoro.
ASH17LCFC Posted 10 March 2008 Posted 10 March 2008 Funny how all the Ollie lovers are sticking with Howard and DJ up front when its clear there partnership isn't working. Remember strikers are paid to score goals ...
teblin Posted 11 March 2008 Posted 11 March 2008 think Clapham being out is a bigger blow than people may realise. the guy is consistantly solid defends well, and thats what you need away from home.

ASH17LCFC Posted 11 March 2008 Posted 11 March 2008 Which of our prolific strikers would you start today as a matter of interest? Hume and Fryatt and why not ? Howard doesn't even look intrested and DJ runs round for 90 mins but never looks like scoring.

Mort Posted 11 March 2008 Posted 11 March 2008 Hume and Fryatt and why not ? Howard doesn't even look intrested and DJ runs round for 90 mins but never looks like scoring. While Hume has been utter cack for the last few games and Fryatt hasn't exactly ever suggested he'll get us the goals we need... at the very least DJ has had two or three good games of late and for that reason should probably be retained... Howard I'm not so sure, but to be honest there really isnt anyone else... Meanwhile drop Hume to the bench, and throw one of Bori or Lazkco on to the left, unless you want to put Hendrie out there with King filling in in the middle with Oakley.
Pen 3 veteran Posted 11 March 2008 Posted 11 March 2008 Why do we have so many players that pick up minor injuries and niggles? This must be down to our training? I think it needs to be sorted!!! or as the saying goes, it seems to happen more to losing teams lacking confidence......
