The People's Hero Posted 14 March 2008 Author Posted 14 March 2008 quality cover - can't beat a bit of mike batt seriously though, the label she was signed to must have been a bunch of jokers, the production leaves a lot to be desired and does her no favours at all, which is a shame cause she can obviously carry a tune. from a technical point of view, and i know these are old recordings so she might have changed her technique, but she needs to stop that heavy breath intake between words/lines, or get a decent producer who can reduce it. but that's the sort of thing labels are gonna look for, unless she can do it mainly on looks, she'll need to be perfect, labels want someone they can just rush in and out of a studio, or some one who will get their tits out and earn enough to justify paying for lots of studio trickery good luck to her, try posting something in the IAC forum regarding advice, there are a lot of clued up people there who might be able to help. and i know it sounds trashy, but if she looks nice, put a picture up, you'll be surprised how many 'friends' she'll get on myspace, cause if people see someone looking up at the sky, they tend to join in, before you know it you've got a lot of people looking. She won't let me do a picture yet... I'm working on it though. These recordings are maybe 3 years old I think.

They tried to force her down the commercial, trashy dance with female vocals route. She just left. They were close to putting some stuff out, obviously it wouldn't have troubled the charts, but there are a few dance tracks she has given to me. Her vocals are pretty good on them but to be honest, the songs themselves are crap and wouldn't sound out of place as a Eurovision Latvian entry or whatever.
