lcfc_jme Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 "Leicester defender Richard Stearman says his side's finishing must improve if they are to climb out of the Championship relegation zone. The Foxes were beaten 1-0 by fellow strugglers Southampton on Tuesday and have slipped into the bottom three. "It's been the story of the past few games," he told BBC Radio Leicester. "We've created good chances and often played better than the other team. "But if we're not going to score then one slip up at the back and we lose." He added: "It hurts being where we are. We should not be anywhere near where we are at the moment. We should be challenging at the top, not looking behind us. "The next eight games are massive." Errrmmm, well done Stears. Spotted what is so painfully obvious to anybody that has watched us or seen any of our results in recent games. We should not be anywhere other than where we are at the moment. We have no divine right to be higher in the league than our current position shows us to be. We've not been good enough, and we are where we deserve to be. Maybe if they stopped looking to fill column space and radio time, they'd get on with the task in hand.

I'm sick of this....'we should be at the top' syndrome!! We're in a relegation battle FFS, they foooking need a reality check and battle like there lives depended on it!!
Raj Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 "Stating the Obvious" Award goes to Mr Stearman of Leicester. Now could you go and tell your team mates PLEASE!!!!
Corky Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 To be fair to Mr Stearman he normally takes the chances he gets. It's those players who call themselves strikers who need telling the ball should go in the between the two white poles. Stearman has been part of the best back four in this division, its not his fault the strikers can't do what they are paid for.
Manwell Pablo Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 We should play Stearz up top he is after all according to his little skit before the cross bar challenge on Soccer AM a "Emergency striker". This looks like an emergency to me!
MikeyT Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 Stearman from now on shall be henceforth known as Sherlock!

This looks like an emergency to me! I imagine he's got his shooting boots in some glass case down at the Walkers with a small hammer and a sign saying 'In case of relegation threat, break glass'
Fox You Forest Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 I imagine he's got his shooting boots in some glass case down at the Walkers with a small hammer and a sign saying 'In case of relegation threat, break glass' Yep and £10 says Hume, Howard, Dj, Fryatt have all had a go at hitting it and missed.
