Maybes Posted 19 March 2008 Posted 19 March 2008 I have sky, but I hate them. The charge is scandalous.

I must admit i dont get as much time as i use to, but when i can i watch most games!!!
davieG Posted 20 March 2008 Posted 20 March 2008 As someone who can only get digital TV via Sky, Virgin don't do digital in my area and I can't get freeview so I'm stuck with it. Not one to cut my nose off to spite my face this does enable me to get online for a £5/month.
The Stig Posted 20 March 2008 Author Posted 20 March 2008 ITV Wins Champions League Well at least it's not ALL on Sky which is nice. ITV has won the rights to first choice Wednesday games, the final and the Super Cup final. It's thought to have sacrifised F1 to get it. That means now football looks like this FA Cup ITV, Setanta Carling Cup BBC, Sky Premier League Sky, Setanta. (Highlights BBC) Championship Sky, (Highlights BBC) Champions League Sky, ITV England Games ITV, Setanta World Cup & Euro BBC, ITV Uefa Cup Currently ITV, Five. New contract to be announced soon.
The Stig Posted 21 March 2008 Author Posted 21 March 2008 Haven't ITV got Premiership Highlights? No, BBC have got them for another another couple of years. ITV are unlikely to win them.
purpleronnie Posted 21 March 2008 Posted 21 March 2008 I support none of these clubs = Not bothered. I'm with you but I do like to watch other non british clubs.
lildave3 Posted 21 March 2008 Posted 21 March 2008 I'm with you but I do like to watch other non british clubs. Yeah. But like I said, I have Sky anyway
Simi Posted 21 March 2008 Posted 21 March 2008 Haven't ITV got Premiership Highlights? Hopefully not after the shambles they managed to produce last time.
lildave3 Posted 21 March 2008 Posted 21 March 2008 Hopefully not after the shambles they managed to produce last time. The Premiership on Monday was a blast.
StroudFox Posted 21 March 2008 Posted 21 March 2008 When I was a teenager, I used to love watching Champions League on ITV whilst doing my homework; My parents couldn't afford sky. Now I am older and I have Sky I am lucky I can still watch it and I prefer Sky's coverage of football as the pundits and commentators are generally better and more knowledgeable. However I don't think it is a good idea that Sky have such a monopoly on sport as it stops lots of people being able to see it, which is bad for lots of reasons I can't be able to write about. On the other hand, the subscription is so expensive, you need to have something for the money.

I agree with you completly. The powers that be don't care about the people watching anymore, just the money they'll get for it.
