Leicester City have yet to finalise season-ticket prices for 2008/09 but are able to confirm a number of benefits for the new campaign.

Season-ticket holders will continue to receive the best deal in recognition of their continued and valuable support, with benefits including:

* An Early Bird cut-off date of May 31, 2008 before which ALL Leicester City supporters will be eligible to purchase a season-ticket at a discounted price.

* A new 'Flexible Payment Plan', allowing Foxes fans the opportunity to secure their season-ticket for a £50 deposit and to then spread the cost through until December, 2008.

* A new 'Family Season-Ticket' offering families an additional discount if they purchase seats together in the Marks Electrical Family Stand.

* A new 'Exclusive Season-Ticket Holders Benefit Package' giving season-ticket holders improved and exclusive benefits every month from June 2008 right through until May 2009.

Must say I'm pleased with the Family Stand thing.

Any people have any other ideas they'd like to see?

But there's still going to be the people moaning about the cheap ticket games such as Saturday's claiming it's not fair on the season ticket holders.

If it wasn't for games like that I'd hardly get down. I've paid full price about twice this season, otherwise I just can't afford it. Twice I've gone with absentee's season tickets, twice I've gone with my dad and he's paid, and every other game I've gotten to has been discounted in some way.

go ahead brother speak the truth no i think you're right, at the end of the day if these season tickets holders are that bothered about losing out on a couple of quid then DONT FU**ING GO, i go to quite a few games and i dont have a season ticket so have to pay full price but i want to see my team play and yes it adds up but its not about the money really, just having a good day out which is even better when we win!

I won't mind too much about the prices as long as they don't go up. They shouldn't go up any more than they are now. They're too expensive at the top end. I paid just short of £500 for this seasons "entertainment". They'll put on the usual spin though - ticket prices start at one of the lowest prices in the division. Get your ticket for as little as.. etc etc. What they fail to mention though is that, on average, we're pretty much the most expensive in the league - even on a par with some premiership clubs - especially at the top end.

In terms of 'getting what we pay for', I'd say that this doesn't represent value for money. But I'll continue to go because I support the team. And Saturday afternoons would be pretty dull without the constant moaning and frustrations that this brings!

And yes, although the season tickets represent value for money, in terms of paying for games individually, it still pisses you off that some people get into the odd game for as little as £10. Especially so considering the disappointments and inconsistency of this season and seasons past.

Didn't they used to have Under 8's to all be in the family stand They should go back to that idea, I'm all for kids going and parents taking kids, at the end of the day there the next generation of Leicester fans and if their not took to games by their parents then chances are they won't go to games and won't be Leicester City fans and I was very young when I first started going, but the Walkers Stadium really is too "childish" if you like, with the hooters and kids screaming in every section of the ground and it's just not a very good atmosphere, Family Stand is there for a reason, Get them in it!

Or was it the case of Free Season Tickets for under 8's only in the Family Stand? (Think that sounds more like it) but then they changed it to Free Season Tickets everywhere in the stadium. It would certainly make it more of an incentive for parents with young kids to make it Free Season Tickets only in the Family Stand but yet kids could still go anywhere in the ground, that'd be more of a fair system!

I've had a look into this. Sunderland for next season are priced at £495 for a top season ticket. This pricing is no more than us for this season! I'll keep looking.

You can get a season ticket for WBA for under £400 at the top end.

Yes. The exciting football MM suggested we'd get this season. We've failed to score in eight of our 19 hoime League games this season. Hardly the way to bring the crowds back.

Ah come on, remember Milan's here for the club, He loves us and is a Leicester fan...He's not in it for the money

(I'm not that bothered whether he's here for the money or not as long as he helps us and gives us financial backing, but as Daggers has said it'd be nice to be valued and not just showing our support through £££)

I think some of our supporters are truly mistaken about the cost of going to watch Leicester City compared to other similar clubs. We are indeed one of the cheaper clubs to support in the league, and what is this business of comparing prices at the "top end"? Surely, you should be comparing average or typical seat costs?

More fool you if you are wanting to sit in premium seats and wanting economy prices. I pay £330 and i think that represents good value for money. The majority of seats at The Walkers are very affordable. As a club, we have a good pricing policy and offer more incentives than most clubs. We could support Brighton in League One and pay over £600 for a season ticket to sit in an unprotected cycle track arena watching turgid football or pay over £26 for an average seat to watch Norwich, Ipswich or Wolves.

We complain far too much when it could be a lot worse. We could be as cheap as Sheffield Wednesday or Sunthorpe at £19 a ticket, buy we cannot have everything. The misconception that we are an expensive team to support is misguided. Tickets at The Walkers at the "top end" are still cheaper than a premium season ticket in the Carling Stand at Filbert Street. They were £585 in 2001-2002.

Offer free tickets for under 8's in the family stand as an incentive to go into the family stand, IF parents want to go elsewhere in the stadium with their kids they can but the tickets won't be free, it's their choice though.

I think some of our supporters are obviously happy to be fleeced.

Sure, petrol could be £73 a gallon and it isn't...but does that mean I shouldn't bitch about the ridiculous over-taxation of fuel?

My council tax could be £2,523 but it isn't...I guess I'm just being mistaken for carping about the £950 that it is then and the number of times it has increased above the rate of inflation.

Or how about the above inflation rises in heating a home? Again, I am probably being unreasonable getting upset about it because it could be far worse, eh?

Nonsense. The comparison is not with other clubs - it is how affordable a ticket to football used to be in the 70's and 80's compared to how much it costs now compared to standard index markers.

Money is being ripped from your pocket in order to allow Rab Douglas to buy up half a tropical island...if you're happy with that arrangement then more fool you.
