Hey Daggers I may be interested in those books. I'm absolutely skint at the minute though so could you give me the names of these books so I can go review hunting?

The two I used were O'Reilly HTML & XHTML and PHP and MySQL Web Development.

Don't bother trying to learn all of the HTML code - it's not worth it, just get a broad understanding. If web design is your thing then there's bigger and better to go onto pout there

Haha nice one. I'll have a quick look and see if I can put them on my iPod for easy reading on the move. :)

Heaven forbid for me to promote the free distribution of intellectual property...but *ahem* I know someone *cough* who did a 2.5gig torrent.

He found loads of useful material on the subject last year.

Apparently.

;)

Those books you've got seem really dull, no offense like. For £23 I'd want a ****ing pop up book that'd turn me into an expert overnight.

And one of your posts about says that <li> isn't compliant, does that mean basic HTML is dying out? Surely one of your books would be pointless in buying then?

I'm not selling them.

They don't have pop-up but the PHP one does come with a DVD of funny out-takes from the 20007/8 season.

HTML is a dead duck - it's all about the XHTML and WEB 2.0

Ah ok. I thought you were selling them >_> Must've misunderstood. I'll have a little gander anyway, see what comes up. So it's XHTML I'm atfer. How about CSS or is that something completely different all together?

XHTML is the data/info but, CSS determines how it looks.

You can get HTML/CSS combined books that are very cheap on ebay, something by SAMS should be good.
