Dr The Singh Posted 27 March 2008 Posted 27 March 2008 Prince 2 is slow going. It isn't complex but there is a large amount of syllabus to cover. There are 2 exams - foundation (multiple choice) and practitioner (essay). I'm hoping to take the exams in July, and yes I may decide to sell on the books afterwards. I'll get back to you on that one. Definitely a worthwhile qualification to do though. I've got PM friends in banking on hilarious contracting rates - £600 - 700 a day! One day.... I've done both the practitioner and the foundation in Prince 2. It's not too bad, the exams that is, although writing for 3 hours was quite difficult!! I suggest anyone wanting to do the Prince 2 thing, to pay for a course, they basically prep you up for the exam and will go through past papers etc!!! Unfortunately, i'm not in the banking industry, so contracting rates are not so good!!!

Yeh I was only looking at the foundation as I heard the practitioner takes a lot of work and is particularly difficult if you're not applying any of the theory day to day which I wouldn't have been. I'm still thinkng of doing it and will speak to my HR department as I'm on a 2 year programme that has PM modules but obv P2 would be better as its a qualification in its own right. Singh/Daggers what do you/your missus do?
Ozwin Posted 27 March 2008 Posted 27 March 2008 Is it wrong that I sort of want to be a postman? >_> I've been thinking about it and think it#d be a good job, you start early which isn't great but you're done by 12 noon and you get free bus rides. Plus there's always strikes and apparently big bonuses every few months. Also, you get the enjoyment of being outdoors and on the move aswell as meeting new people. It probably seems really cack to you lot but I've been thinking it could be a fun little job.
