Trumpet Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 It may not come as a great surprise to many of you but unfortunately after much consideration we’ve decided that Milburn has run it's course. There’s been no malice or falling out between us and we still remain friends and supporters of each other as we move on and explore new musical horizons. Not everyone in the music media understood us but you the fans did and over the last 2-3 years we’ve shared some amazing experiences that we’ll never forget and we feel very privileged to have done so. We want to sincerely thank everyone of you that supported us along the way. It's been overwhelming. For this reason we’d like to play one last gig. There’s also a few songs left over from the second album that we’re going to make available. The songs are "The District Line" and "Stay At Home". Details will be up as soon as possible. The gig will take place on 24th May at Sheffield Academy. Thanks again, Love as always Tom, Joe, Greeny and Louis R.I.P Milburn. I know many on here went to the gig at The Charlotte last September. When I was asked to go I didn't know much of them, just that "Boring band from Sheffield" How wrong I was. I fell in love with the band and will definately be at this last gig.
City_4_Life Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 Loved "Well Well Well" and "These are the facts". Never got to see them live which is dissapointing.

Joe. Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 Ahhh But, What will you do when the money goes? Get the Last Bus home.
lildave3 Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 Roll out the barrel. I fear this game is becoming a Sinking Ship(s)
Trumpet Posted 28 March 2008 Author Posted 28 March 2008 I fear this game is becoming a Sinking Ship(s) We should, Send in the boys?
Joe. Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 We should, Send in the boys? Nah, the Cowboys and Indians will do fine.
Trumpet Posted 28 March 2008 Author Posted 28 March 2008 Nah, the Cowboys and Indians will do fine. They'll cause quite a "Storm in a tea cup".
Daggers Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 What a shame. I have no idea who he/it/she/they were/was but I am sure he/it/she/they were/was a great contribution to the world of music and will be sadly missed by his/its/her/their family/families/gynocological practitioner. Rest in piece.
Wils Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 I cant belive it. Im gutted. They never got enough appreciation, no where near what they deserved. Just glad i took the opportunity to see them.
Trumpet Posted 28 March 2008 Author Posted 28 March 2008 Tube's once said to me, on a fine November eve: "The Arctics are not a scratch on these boys" The words of a wiseman.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 That new Sheffield Academy is going to be absolutely awesome. It used to be a nightclub and a church (not at the same time - it was actually a nightclub first, then turned into a church - mental)
lildave3 Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 Tube's once said to me, on a fine November eve:"The Arctics are not a scratch on these boys" The words of a wiseman. I wouldn't go that far, I think he'd been Lipstick Licking.
Joe. Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 I wouldn't go that far, I think he'd been Lipstick Licking. Give it up, all the good ones have dried up now
