demon_dog Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 Not seen this mentioned as yet. Just thought I'd say good on you Birchy for Saturday. Like him or not you have to admire him for the money he has raised over the years for charity. This year he is running in aid of mens Prostate Cancer, a good cause, let's hope we all support him. Once again he hopes to do 50 laps. (How fars that?) Again he states that this will be his final year. Dont know about you but the atmosphere at the final game home game of the season always seems special. See you all Saturday.
Corky Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 Obviously the big question will be- Is he going to cut the corners like every other year? No seriously it really is a great effort by the Birch, he really cares about charity and does a great job. All the best
Guest Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 Good on him and good luck to him. I'll be chucking a few quid his way
Leicester Lass Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 Just thought I'd add, if anyone wants to donate online: http://www.justgiving.com/birch2008
Father Ted Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 Wonder what celebrities are taking part this year? Roy Neilson
WetFlannel Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 Roy Neilson Bless him... I'd say he got the most cheers last year.
Corky Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 Is this the last year again? Yeah. Every year we hear the same thing, but he always does it the next year. For a man of 62, he does very well to keep going. What a legend. Don't know if he will have enough energy to do another rousing speech at 2:55pm.
lildave3 Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 God bless the man. I'm sure Lisa would be up for joining him

Geo V Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 Good luck to the old sod. A great character who gets ripped apart every now and again when really he is City through and through and we are greatfull he cares. Good Luck and at cutting corners.
