Guest ttfn Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 Anyone who thinks we're keeping Iain Hume is off their rocker. There is literally no chance he'll be there next year. The following players will stay: Henderson J Chambers Sheehan Kisnorbo (until Jan) Worley Clapham (but he can fook off, he's actually shit) Bell Wesolowski (maybe) King Clemence (apparently) Porter (who everyone seems to have forgotten about) Gradel Hayles Fryatt Campbell (maybe) A Chambers The rest will all leave for sure. We need some new defenders for next season. The midfield actually seems ok. If we could get this team out, with a couple of additions, we might have a shot next year: .........................................Henderson.............................. J Chambers.........Worley..........................New CB............Sheehan.... Gradel...............Wesolowski...................Clemence............Bell/Porter ...........................Fryatt........................Hayles.................
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 Keep: (the ones I want to stay, anyway) J.Chambers Kisnorbo McAuley Hume Bell Campbell (?) Fryatt Weso Stearman Mattock Worley Hendo King A.Chambers Gradel Sappleton Wouldn't be fussed if Kish stays, seems to have done a half decent job in the reserves, good experienced pro.
act smiley Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 Does he have the right attiude though? My ideal lineup would be: A.Chambers Hume Bell Wesolowksi King Gradel Mattock Worley Stearman J.Chambers Henderson Sell all the pricy wasters for as close to what we overpaid for them and go back-to-basics. However, the odds of being able to keep hold of Mattock, Stearman and Hume are somewhat limited.
reynard Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 The first consideration will be budget. We have a huge squad and the difference in media income will be around a net loss of £1million. So the squad will have to be trimmed unless the current owner or an other is prepared to bankroll us. So All out of contract players will not be offered new contracts as they are cheap to get rid of (hammond, Douglas, Shush, Dodds, ClaphamAny others?) I can't believe any of the loan layers will be offered terms or in some cases would even contemplate signing for us anyway so cheerio to etuhu hendrie, bori and zolst. Then there are the saleable assets. Mattock certain to leave. His under 21 future depends upon it. I expect offers soon from 500k-1m and we will sell. Stearman difficult to judge. If villa rumours were true expect an o'neill offer around the 500k. Mccauley personally I think Ipswich will return with a reduced offer and we will accept. Hume if ollie stays (unlikely) certain to leave. Expect any championshi side to snap up for 250-500k Then there are the inpondrables of Howard, Dj, N'gotty, Clemence and Oakley, Hellings. It is perfectly possible some clubs will be interested in some of these and I doubt many will want 3rd tier football anyway. High earners (except hellings) and I can see us wanting to offload. Weso could well want away as he hasn't had enough opportunities. Fryatt is another who might get some interest. Even our younger players will not be exempt from possible transfers. All promoted teams know about gradel and a cheeky bid from one of them might well see him leave as well. The truth is the whole situation has changed from shopping in waitrose we are now customers of poundland and expect any new signings to reflect that
Tommeh Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 If we can get Gradel back and Levi on the other side with Wesolowski in the centre with someone else, I'd be happy, as far as the midfield's concerned, can't see Oakly or Clemence staying. Can't see Hume staying and as long as clubs don't have a problem with Kisnorbo missing the 1st couple of months, he'll be gone too. Ipswich will be back in for McAuley I'd imagine and Stearman and Mattock will probalby also leave. The former I really don't care about, have always rated James Chambers ahead of him. Would love to see Bruno stay after yesterday but with his wages I really cant see it. Hendo's been good for the latter parts of this season he'll be fine in goal. DJ and Fryatt up front could work and we defenatly need Dodds back from Lincoln, he could be valuable.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 Henderson - Looks alright in the Championship at the moment let alone this league! Dodgy with crosses but a great shot stopper. Stearman - Please stay! McAuley - Would imagane he would stay, more than good enough Worley - Looked decent on sky Mattock - If he stays it will be fantastic! Gradel - I am really looking forward to seeing him in a city shirt! Clemence - Surely if he tries abit he will be a quality player in this league Wesolowski - If he stays, will be fantastic! Porter - I think he will be great at this level! Fryatt - Will be god at this level! Sappleton - Havent seen him play but sounds like a good prospect? Keep Logan - Good backup Chambers - Would be a good player at this level for sure Cox - Havent seen him play Kisnorbo - When hes fit hes likely to leave. (thats why hes not in the team) Rowe-Turner - Havent seen him play Shush! - If Mattock leaves then a good replacement (Nice set piece delivery too!) Bell - I'd rather have Gradel and Porter but I wouldnt mind if he was in the team Hendrie - Would be in team if he was likely to be here King - In team if Clem leaves Hayes - Seems an alright player at lower levels Hume - I wish. PLEASE STAY HUMEY!! Dodds - Dont know havent seen him play Odhiambo - Sounds good I havent seen him play Chambers - Sounds good I havent seen him play SPECIAL MENTION TO Steve Howard - FOOK OFF YOU LAZY IMMOBILE FAT PIECE OF SHITE THE SOONER YOU LEAVE THE BETTER YOU MONEY GRABBING THIEF!!!
filbertway Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 Henderson Stearman Mattock Kisnorbo McAuley Weso King Clemence Porter Bell Gradel Fryatt Hume Hammond Ash chambers Worley James Chambers
Legend_in_blue Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 Clemence has already stated on the radio post match that he is staying next season. If he goes back on his word I will have even less respect for the man than I already have. He must shoulder some of the responsibility for the fiasco on the pitch during performances so it will be interesting to see who stands up to it, takes it on the chin, deals with it, and gets us out of it. Anybody not interested, bugger off now.
Super Arj Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 I have divised a list of twats, tits and steve howard ( who falls under both categories ) These excuses of players must go - Steve Howard Barry Hayles Jamie Crapham Bruno N'Gotty DJ Campbell ( nothing against him but he just cant score goals ) Matt Oakley Radustbin Kishishev there are a few more but these lot are blatent
Dom_Harborough Fox Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 This would be what I would do, assuming I could keep hold of the players I want to, (using current squadlist) Keep (if possible) allow to leave/sell James Chambers Kisnorbo N'Gotty - undecided but not a major loss McAuley Clemence - unless we get a decent offer Hume Kishishev Bell Campbell - worth keeping as he has scored goals in league 1 before but a decent offer & let him go Clapham - prefer to let go if we can find better cover for Mattock but would be an ok deputy otherwise Fryatt - proven in this league, may be a big player for us next year Wesolowski Hayes - again not the end of the world if he sticks around but i don't really see him being good enough if we get promoted again Sheehan - basically gone as far as i know Stearman - although I think we may find it hard to hang on to him Hellings Hammond - might score goals in league 1 but i think we have better options Worley - could be a big player if we lose McAuley/Kisnorbo over summer, assuming he signs permanently Logan - don't think he's that bad personally & an able deputy in league 1 Porter Mattock - but will have to fight to hold on to him over summer I think Dodds Hayles - but not too concerned if he goes Gradel - looking foward to seeing him in a City shirt Oakley - I'd keep him for now but the jury's still out as far as I'm concerned Maybury Sappleton Odhiambo Henderson Laczko Rowe-Turner Bori Hendrie - but i think there's next to no chance of us getting him permanently Etuhu King Howard - could probably score in league 1 but i've not been impressed & think we play better football without him in the side as a hoofball option Ashley Chambers Cisak - no idea about this guy tbh Douglas
i luv u foxes Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 hopefully barry hayles will go i say all the fans should put a couple of quid in each to release him
Ultra Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 If the manager goes, Sheehan may change his mind about wanting to leave. But that probably depends on whether Leeds go up or not. If they do, he'll want to stay there.
