Corky Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 I'm surprised at the amount of good luck messages on the forum. Most true football fans don't want to see other fans suffer. Even I feel a bit sorry for the Derby fans, because it must be horrible to see your team out of their depth every week. If we'd survived yesterday, I would have been relieved, but feeling sorry for the fans of the relegated team. One man's success is another man's despair.

Mr Popodopolous Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 Sad to see you go down, always liked how Leicester defied the odds under O'Neill, but no huge feelings towards them one way or the other because they're not local rivals. Hollowhead on the other hand.....

One man's success is another man's despair. Yeah, no real football fan likes to see others suffer. Ok, I've laughed at Derby too throughout the season. But I do feel for them. I love rivalrys, I think it's one of the best things about football, but I would've felt for whoever had been relegated if we had stayed up.
DSM Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 Commiserations on your relegation. We know how it feels as well. I would have preferred to see Coventry relegated myself; if only your lot could have scored a goal! Still, The hatred that abounds for Mandaric and Holloway is why you don't get as much sympathy as maybe you deserve. Get rid of them and bounce back. All the best to the supporters DSM Saints supporter.

blackpoolfc Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 Blackpool season ticket holder here. Firstly, I want to say I had a good laugh with a few of your supporters when you played us and you seem a decent bunch. Also, when you were in the Premership under Martin O Neill I always had a begrudging admiration when you stuck it us Liverpool and Man U, etc. I liked your fighting spirit. My problem is with that five foot troll Holloway. I always considered him a dick, more concerned with being a media personality than a manager. However, he stated in his shitty little column ' Blackpool have no chance whatsoever of staying up, they are boys in a mans world and id but my life savings on them going down. Its a nailed on certainty'. So while I get no satisfaction from you going down i get plenty from seeing that smug little nothing crapping himself over his job and his reputation. All the best for next season, I expect you to go up first time.

My boss is a Derby fan, I ain't said a word to him about Derby's shite season in the Premiership because I know how it feels, he sent me a text last night laughing at me...I know where there's another job going so I might tell him to stuff his job! I honestly am tempted to move on anyway I have been my current job for 3 1/2 years, and feel I need to learn more and have been tempted to move on for a few months, I've been told where there is a job going so very tempted... -Also I know i'll get a load of shit tomorrow when I go work. This is how much football can change your life - Stupid ah?!
rayray Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 OI! Lesta fans! Can't you read the title of this thread? This thread is supposed to be for non LCFC fans. So will you bugger off and let us gloat in peace, please? Have they all gone yet? Good......I can carry on now. lesta deserve to go down but their fans don't seem to want to admit it. They never went down because of yesterday's result at Stoke. they went down because they have had a terrible season. So many games where they under performed, never won two in a row, didnt even beat Colchester, etc. And running their own manager of the month competiton didnt work either. What bugs me about lesta mainly is how big they think they are. No matter how they are doing or what league they are in, they all seem to be deluded and have this impression that they are a really big club. As I mentioned before, I work in lesta with all the molestas and i will spend the whole of the next season taking the mick out of the status of this apparently big club. And I think that they will not come straight back up next year, so get used to being one of the forgotten clubs. maybe what goes around comes around and this is their come-uppance for 'beating the system' during their potential administration that time. I could not believe that the molesta fans at work were taking the mick out of me and telling me they hoped we would go into admin after what almost happened to them. I spent most of this season telling the same fans that I wanted them to stay up as I love the banter and the competitiveness when we play the la manga rapists. But , in return all they did was tell me they wanted us down. Well, who's laughing now? i will tell you.....it's me and all the other SKY BLUE fans. So here's to you doing a 'forest' and staying in league one for a hell of a long time. And don't try and mess with us......an elephant will ALWAYS kill a fox! Division Three Divison Three Division Three Division Three Division Three etc....... oh stop crying!
Corky Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 Why is it that fans of other clubs come on here, and either sympathise or criticise in a good way, and then you get Coventry fans?

Green Sleeves Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 As a fan of football in general but my team being Plymouth Argyle I get no enjojment out of seeing fans in despair, the only thing I can say is it does happen to us all and you will come back wiser and appreciate the good times even more. The league does not lie but you have been unlucky from the games ive seen.IH may not be the man for you next season but he will be gutted with what has happened to City,he is a good honest man who maybe could not deal with the expectation and pressure of a bigger club.At Argyle he was never under pressure as we are a club who have no history of the hights of the Premiership etc. Good luck in league one,you will be back and genuine Argyle fans wish all foxes fans only the best.

Finnegan Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 Why is it that fans of other clubs come on here, and either sympathise or criticise in a good way, and then you get Coventry fans? Because nobody cares about Coventry? I mean Leicester generally aren't liked or loathed by anyone, if we're honest. I don't know why it's particularly cool in football to pretend everyone hates your club but if we're honest we don't have any searing, passionate, local derby. We do have East-Midlands rivals and do enjoy a bit of banter with the Forest and Derby fans but I think the recent anti-Cov trend was purely due to a lack of Derby and Forest in the same division. It seems to me like Coventry are at even more of a loss than us, tbh, to pretend to have big local rivals. Let's be honest, you're pretty tragic if the club you're rivaled with the most is miles away down a motorway. Edit: I didn't think Forest cared?

I used to post on 606, I've stopped that now, one of the main reasons was idiotic Coventry fans who wouldn't have reasoned debate, just make childish comments. It's pointless.
rayray Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 Correct me if I am wrong, but this post is titled 'Abuse Leicester City' for non LCFC fans. It is clear that the moderators on this site knew that there was going to be some ribbing and decided to give the fans who wanted to do so their own space. So I am only doing what is expected. Furthermore, I have stated in my earlier post that I was all for lestoh staying up but over the course of the past season, your fans at my workplace have made it pretty clear how much they hate us. So carry on biting to my intelligent and witty posts. It is clear that although I am having a go, I am still lacing my posts with humour and intelligence and grammar of a good standard when I can be bothered. Of course when writing lesta, one does not need a capital letter as you get what you deserve. I have the mobile numbers of at least ten molester fans on my phone but have not sent out a single text to people I know personally as I remember how low I felt when COVENTRY CITY FOOTBALL CLUB got relegated from the Premiership to the CHAMPIONSHIP - (not LEAGUE ONE) - but as for you lot on here, I don't know any of you personally. I just know that you are probably made up of the sad idiots who kept pointing at me telling me I was 'dead outside' at the RICOH! (when we won 2-0) I am glad you got relegated, you fully deserve it and I hope you don't come back. What's wrong with that? I am a rival fan. Your fans are arrogant and have delusions of grandeur. Well, wait until the fixture list comes out. Then it will really hit home. Now, is there anybody out there who can come up with a decent reply or is it just too difficult to type with six fingers? No? I thought not. Oh well, just continue with your brief replies and make sure to tell everybody else that we COVENTRY fans just come on here and have no decency or sense of fair play. Alternatively, if you cannot come up with a worthwhile retort, simply read my post and move on and forget all about COVENTRY CITY. After all, we are not even in the same league. We are in the CHAMPIONSHIP. And you are in your rightful place.

In 87, Oh this is true, A trophy was won by a team in Sky Blue, It's been a long time, Since that day So we'll sing 'em a song that they fuckin' hate 21 years, 21 years, 21 years, 21 years. If you seriously believe that your club is bigger than ours you are deluded. Okay, you might be in a higher league than us for a season or maybe two, but we'll come back stronger, and I wouldn't be suprised if you struggled again next year. You are extremely cocky considering you are a fan of a club that stayed up by the skin of their teeth and are the worst team to visit the Walkers, ever. We'll still have higher attendances than you next season and when it's your turn to take a holiday in League One, we'll see who's bigger then.
Finnegan Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 Your fans are arrogant and have delusions of grandeur. See this is the bit that bothers me. All that tripe about "rival teams" (yeah, right?) I don't mind - I mean you don't like a club, you don't like a club, fair enough. But how much of a bubble do Coventry fans have to be living in to think Leicester's fans are any more up themselves than they are? We're both ex-Premiership clubs, we're both supposed to have funding, stadia and a fanbase that exceeds our league position (I mean, as relieved as you are to avoid relegation - are you honestly not embarassed to be finishing a point above relegation?) and neither of us would have expected to be relegated at the start of the season. Any season. I could accept a, say, Plymouth or Bristol City fan coming to Leicester and mocking the fans for believing themselves a little more important than they are - but a Coventry fan? It just doesn't wash.
