teblin Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 Milan has to stay, what is the alternative? Admin and relegation to league 2? Come on those who are calling for him to go, yes he appointed the wrong managers, and has got things wrong. But we can't afford for him to just walk out unless there is another guy who has the money to bail us out and i'm not sure there is.
backinthebigtime Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 i know emotions are still running high after what happened yesterday but what does rack me off somewhat is in Milan,s interview with SSN and being reported again on the BBC this morning his insistance that he has been let down and also his refusal to confirm that he will continue with the club...now taking them one at a time, him being let down is a big claim for him to make if we had had one bad manager in charge this season who couldnt get the players to perform, but for us to have had 3 permenant and a couple of caretaker mangers then surley it is only right that he shoulders more than his fair share of the blame...secondly by not confirming his comitment at this difficult time what incentive is he offering the current set of fans who are considering their season ticket renewals? he is pretty much saying to us, well I dont know who will be your players or manager next year and at the moment Im not sure if I will be here either...but renew your season tickets please, especially as we are getting such a good deal for the early bird specials. i have no strong feelings either way as to if Ollie should stay or go, but looking at him yesterday you have to ask yourself what state is he in emotionally, I actually though he looked a broken man and as dissapointed as I am its not a good state to see anyone in, let alone the manger of our football club.

Daggers Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 "When I took over this club our foundation was built on sand. We now have to build a proper foundation and take this club forward and upwards and never look back" "Am I going to get out of the football business - no, absolutely not."
Uncle Monty Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 http://www.teamtalk.com/football/story/0,1...3524211,00.html Mandaric set out a three-year plan to get Leicester back into the Premier League when he completed his £25million-plus takeover of the club in February 2007. However, asked whether he would be staying on as chairman following what is a major setback to those plans, the City owner told the Telegraph: "I don't know. I am not going to make any decisions at this moment. "We have to face the facts and regroup. It is not an easy moment. It is one I have never experienced before in any project, whether business or football. "It is a dreadful experience. It is a shame. I feel let down and right now I am not a very happy man. "You don't have to be Einstein. If you look at the support I have given to my managers and my players, both financially and morally, and what do you get in response? You expect rewards and results. We didn't get it and you have to feel let down." Asked about manager Ian Holloway's future, Mandaric added: "I cannot discuss that. I need a couple of days of calming down. "We need to come up with the right strategy. We owe it to the supporters to turn this around and find some positives in this dreadful time."
