Personally, I fooking love this tune. And let's face it, we are now an average football league side.

It's been legend using it as our goal tune, because the PHG was awful.

I know lots of people would suggest not using music at all, but all season even in the premiership like Liverpool score (no tune) and about 20 seconds after the goal it's silence again. It's just my opinion, but goal tunes/celebration music is sort of the new era.

It just adds that little edge when we score, rare as it may be.

Besides, at least it's not Tom Hark.

I take it everyone that has said they don't like it has e-mailed Peter Jones to tell him that probably the majority of fans do not like it?

We tried when we had a meeting with the club, but their view is, it pleases the people that need to be pleased. (Families and Execs!) Also acts as a method of crowd control and reduces "potential" for trouble.

I'm not defending it though, there's not many more things I hate about the "Matchday Expereince"

I really don't see how it adds a "little edge", you just seem to get the kids bouncing around and when it stops, everyone returns to their seat and acts like nothing has happened! It's your opinion though, as you say.

I just don't think it's how a goal should be represented. If you've been to an away game and celebrated a crucial goal, you'll know the difference to adding a "little edge"!

Back in the early days of the Walkers they used to play that before kick-off, its a good tune to get the crowd going. I don't want music before the match, but I would rather have songs like that if we carry on playing music.

I've emailed Peter today quoting a lot of what has been said in this thread and was told it will be looked at, so that is a small positive I suppose.

The sad thing is, the only reason it was here in the first place was because of Martin Allen (Not surprising coming from MK Franchise), when he left, it should of left with him.

It's better than PHG after a goal but I don't think we need music after a goal at all!!!

These days, clubs seem to think that the fans need a helping hand & some form of prompting to generate atmosphere when, in reality, its exactly those sorts of things that are killing the atmosphere inside our football grounds.

At this rate it won't be long before there's a man standing behind the goal showing a board to the crowd saying "APPLAUSE"
