I'm all for Godley and Cream

I don't like cricket!

So how about Difford and Tillbrook?

After all we are really 'Up the junction'!

Lennon and McCartney?

We can be entertaining on the radio but we're nearly totally dead?

For me, now is the time to do the following:

1. Get rid of Holloway - if he gets up from Div 1 into the Championship, it is clear that he does not have the neccessaries to do well if we do go up - we need a long term vision for the club with the correct manager to lead us for the next few years - that, as been proven this year, is not Holloway

Comments please

assuming holloway takes us back up, he will have been at the club for a season and a half, with his own team in place and winning games - so, to say that he 'doesn't have the necessities to do well' is nonsense - you will see neither the same holloway or leicester under those circumstances.

holloway has the potential to be a good manager, the fear of dropping out of the top 2 leagues is no longer here, and i personally believe that this has been one of the factors in the dreadful state of this football club.

if MM keeps him, the decision on holloway will be when he has a few games in league 1 under his belt, a winning start will keep his job, a losing start and he's off - a promotion season and i am certain we won't be seeing substandard leicester city in the championship --- by the same token expect to see a very different forest this season

Billy Davies is still nowhere, why not him ? The guy worked wonders at Derby and Preston.

apparently he's looking for a club where the fans aren't the biggest bunch of moaners ever known!!

2. Get rid of the journeymen - we have never had a better chance to bring through the youth, develop a good young side (with a couple of older heads in it) and to build not only for next season, but for the next few years

3. Don't get in Steve Walsh - as much as I love him and used to sing his praises week in week out when I was younger - I just feel that he won't have the strength of character to give the players a kick up the arse when they need it. I dont question his commitment to the club, his passion and his honour, but I don't think he's enough of a bastad (like Ferguson, Wenger, Hughes etc...), which, to my mind, is what the club need - we don't need another Holloway (who is a likeable character, a friend of the players and all that), what we do need is someone the players are respectfully frightened of - all the best managers have that one key attribute about them - the fear factor, which, I regret, Washie wouldnt command.

Interesting thoughts m8

i reckon we keep hold of holloway unless we can bring in a manager that significantly better than him, - maybe billy davies, but i doubt some1 like that would want to come to us.

i agree with ur other 2 points tho - good chance for some youngsters to get valuable experience, esp if we manage to keep hold of some of the better ones.

Steve Walsh is an absolute legend but i dont think he could cut it as the manager - i really appreciate him making an effort for city, and i liked it when he put himself up to be leicester manager a while ago, but i dont think he is intelligent enough to be a manager that could in the medium/long term take us to the prem. You can tell that from listening to his comments he has made as commentator on bbc radio leicester.

So you want to get rid of Holloway, even if he gets us up? Thats a tad harsh, dont you agree?

I don't personally think it's harsh. If we had have stayed up it would have been despite Holloway not because of him. If he stays then the same applies because if we can keep a decent number of the current squad, add the youth and a half decent manager then we have the infastructure of a team/all round set up in place to do well. Ollie would not make the grade again even if he got us up. He is tactically and managerially bereft of talent!

Mourinho was a friend of the players-style manager was he not?

Maybe just a hunch

Not at all!

The players just loved and respected him like Oneils players do him.

After yesterday's results, maybe make a bid for Dave Penney?
