Bad Manners were the headliners (genuine) The best tributes for me were; The Fillers (killers) Ded Hot Chillies (Red Hot Chillies) Bon Jovi experience (Bon Jovi) One Step Beyond (Madness)

Jay Posted 31 May 2008 Posted 31 May 2008 not sure if it's only me but I really detest tribute bands making money by ripping off others, they are a real hate of mine if they are all that talented then play and write some of your own songs!! it's all write doing a few covers as pub band but things like this take it to far imo when you end up with rubbish like this... the bornagen beatles releasing a cd of covers I mean who the hell wants to listen to or buy that rubbish , just buy the music of the REAL band!!

I can't believe my own terrible spelling on that post!! it's amazing the mistakes you can make when you are not concentrating!! "It's all write...." how bad is that!!! Tribute Bands do suck though oh and bornagen isn't my error it's actually the name they use..

Meh. At the end of the day it's great when the band you love either have retired/died or even if you can't afford to see your favourite bands. I don't think it's ripping bands off because some tribute acts have actually got me to like the genuine bands. Plus it's a compliment to the real bands for them to take the time and effort of performing their songs. And what better excuse to jump to the sound of your favourite bands with your mates? Harmless fun imo.
