Jay Posted 31 May 2008 Posted 31 May 2008 ok people it's come to the time in my life where I need to invest in some serious Dylan Albums but where do I start? currently I only own some Essential Bob Dylan album but would like to buy some more I like the style of Girl from the North Country / man of constant sorrow and would like some more unproduced natural/early Dylan if that makes sense? but where do I start? recommend me some albums? what are your favourites?

The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind. Alternatively I think you need to drop TPH a PM he is Bob Dylan.
Webbo Posted 31 May 2008 Posted 31 May 2008 Alternatively you could just tread on a cat's testicles and get a similar result.
purpleronnie Posted 31 May 2008 Posted 31 May 2008 I'm a Dylan fan. I would start with these:- Blonde on Blonde Highway 61 Revisited Blood on the Tracks The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan Bringing It All Back Home The Times They Are A-Changin' He kinda lost the plot in the late 70's and 80's so most of the great stuff is up to Blood on the tracks (1975) I also have the bootleg volumes which are amazing. These are official releases of live recordings and rare and unreleased songs etc...
MikeyT Posted 31 May 2008 Posted 31 May 2008 Blood on the Tracks and Blonde on Blonde. Agree! Absolute genius albums!
Zingari Posted 31 May 2008 Posted 31 May 2008 Alternatively you could just tread on a cat's testicles and get a similar result. his voice does not appeal to me either but he has wrote some phenomenal stuff
Ultra Posted 31 May 2008 Posted 31 May 2008 There's plenty of stuff on the Bob Dylan website if you wish to find out more..
