Daggers Posted 31 May 2008 Posted 31 May 2008 The boy insisted I take him to some Super Gamers Gaming International Boardgame Celebratory Show of Games, he'd been given a free ticket. Two and a half hours. Two and a half hours being shown how to play the World of Warcraft trading card game and then some Star Wars game. With dice. And beads. Two and a half hours that brought me closer to willing for a death blow to the back of my neck than any City game I have ever seen. I am pretty sure that I was the only one there in a relationship with a woman, apart from the boy who thinks kissing is disgusting. Really, having some buck-toothed, malodorous pubescant scoffing because I didn't know what 'charm' was has to be one of the low points of my weekend. I am so going to get drunk and play FM08 all night just to cleanse myself.

The boy has announced that we are to return tomorrow for Part.II of the weekend. I plan on rolling a seventeen sided, seethrough but with Celtic runes on it, dice to see if I can prevent it from happening. Damn - he's played his "Dad you have to do what I say if you love me" card and I have lost all of my defence by spending a season of weekends watching football.

Daggers Posted 1 June 2008 Author Posted 1 June 2008 We went back today to see more grown men dressed up as characters from Star Wars. And grown ladies dressed up as elves and things. Grown ladies with tight bodices and low-cut tops displaying their Elven cleavages. In the end we stayed for about three hours and ended up playing a couple of games I think they hooked me with the boob angle. I never knew RPGs could be sexy.
