Corky Posted 7 June 2008 Posted 7 June 2008 Henry most definitely. Absolute quality player, genuinely nice guy, got standing ovations from other supporters. A genius. Ronaldo, for all his talent, will never be respected in the same way, and I won't be sorry to see him go.
FilboFox Posted 7 June 2008 Posted 7 June 2008 Henry by a country mile. Ronaldo dives, wastes time with his boring and repetative footwork... all that fancy flicking stuff isn't necessary, is so arrogant its unbelievable and is Portuguese... Henry was amazing at what he did... scored some amazing goals and was a really nice person so it wasn't a tough choice for me at all.

But don't let your bias towards Henry and hate towards Ronaldo cloud your opinion at all, no? Ronaldo is a quality player, without doubt. But, for every magnificent goal he scores, there is a pathetic dive. It angers me that he's aloud to get away with it without punishment. The odd yellow card is nothing. It doesn't bother me either way whether Ronaldo stays or not. I hope he knows that players that have left the Premiership have not always managed to find the same form they did when they were here, especially at Real Madrid. Henry was a different class when he played for Arsenal. Hasn't worked out for him at Barca, but I think Wenger sold him at the right time and there's no doubt we got to see the best of him.

Yes he dives, not as much as he did but he still does, I can't argue that. But how is his footwork boring and repetitive? Some of the stuff he does is just maginificent, against Arsenal for example. Yeah he is arrogant, but that doesn't bother me and I don't see why it should. Being Portugese is not a reason. Henry was amazing at what he did, Ronaldo though even more so for me. I loved watching Henry. I remember in particular the games against Inter and then the game against Leeds. He was awesome. But Ronaldo is more entertaining for me, and I would miss seeing his stunning and unique free kicks or his skills on MOTD every week.
Number 6 Posted 8 June 2008 Posted 8 June 2008 Henry was better to watch, Arsenal at their peak were better to watch than any football team in my lifetime, by a distance. The way they play football at their best is beautiful to watch. .
Simi Posted 8 June 2008 Posted 8 June 2008 The way they play football at their best is beautiful to watch. . That is different gravy.
lildave3 Posted 8 June 2008 Posted 8 June 2008 That is different gravy. Can't deny it. But Bergkamp made it. Bergkamp makes everything sexy.
